cool.been training my rabbit to jump over a bar 8 1/2 inches high.hope to start jumping thru hoops ,but cant find a small one locally.may have to make one.
Good question! I asked my clicker-training expert friend (fuzzfarm), and she said: "Yes, you can train deaf animals. People often use the flash of a flashlight instead of a clicker to mark the behavior that they are going to reinforce. I've used a thumbs up hand signal as the click for deaf dogs. My friend tapped 3 times to signal her deaf horse. Some deaf dogs will wear a vibrating collar to signal them when they have done something right or to call them back to their owner."
The training looks great. He is focused and clearly understands that every time he hears "good boy" (your marker or click) he gets a treat. He also understands that jumping through the hoop makes you say "good boy".
Now you can set up another obstacle and start asking for 2 behaviors before you say "good boy" and deliver a treat.
It looks like you two are having a good time training. Keep posting videos and help ban bunny boredom!
Thank you so much! Coming from you, that especially means a lot! I'm having a great time working with Bernie. He's awesome, and it's so wonderful spending quality time with him. I will start working on 2 behaviors next! :-)
