Went to my buddy's B-Day party in Alamo Ca. a few month's back. Brad Gillis shows up and is asked to play a few song's. I had an 80's flash back when Brad start's ripping it up, he still Rock's in America.
Randy Rhoads was without question one of the best guitar players Ozzy had After Randy's death the whole Diary of a Madman tour was tossed upside down I am and always will be a huge fan of Randy When Brad cane he was not there to replace Randy Brad himself was a fan of Randy's playing style and his work The fact that Gills had just a little bit over a week to get a good grip on the songs was almost impossible for Bard to do
i wasnt saying the official top 5 guitarist those are my 5 favorites ....besides mick mars is a better guitarist then you think if it was up to me he'd be around 30-40 somewhere in there
Brad Gillis, if I remember right, only had about 8 days to learn the whole show. he was then immidiately on the road with Ozzy. There was no rehearsals, they just hit the stage.
Brad was not there to be Randy. He was there to keep the tour going.
Brad was good. not the same, a bit faster during some parts, but it would've been nice to see a solo with the both of them. Live of course. I prefer Randy though. Rady's had a heavy rock, but a classic rock feel to his music. He played it masterfully and intricately, but still sounded great. The way music is meant to be played. Zakk Wylde, he does his pinch harmonics, pulls a Dimebag heavy riff and calls it a song...
Point taken. I was basing my comment off the comparison of the original Verse This, As him "Screwing it up" Meaning he didn't play it the way its Created.

@motleycrue24 I'm sorry, It takes more then "stage presence" to play the creation of a God.

ok? i never said anything bout stage presence but ok?
motleycrue24 2 years ago
@motleycrue24 Well that is what most of Brad's fans say as his best feature, His stage presence. Isn't it?

For my. Randy Rhoads, Jacke E Lee and Brad Gillis. And no forget Joe Holmes that replaced Zakk in a few occasions and is a amazing guitarrist.
