  • I think the point about the scope was a bit weak: you can choose any scope you want, it is not an integrated part of a gun.

    Other than that i agree that semi-auto wins in this kind of setting.

  • Something to keep in mind is that time was with an experienced left handed shooter. Vickers was more easily able to chamber a round than the traditional right handed shooter because he didn't have to take his firing hand of the trigger like a right handed shooter would have had to.

    So really the M110 provides an even greater advantage than depicted here.

    I can use both hands equally (i am left eyed, but right handed)

    and from what i've seen in competitions i can say it makes almost no difference which hand you use - in the end it boils down to the technique.

    After all the longest part usually is not rechambering, but aiming down sight.

    This kind of setting in the video favours M110; bolts are used primarily on long range precision sniping. Except for the few exceptions "gas rifles" have shorter range and less precision over range.

  • Nice shooting at close range , would have been more exciting at say 700-900 meters out , to realy see how close they would be in target take down then .

    I still think there would not much between them .
