  • what kind of bike do you have? and i got a gopro hero 2 and i used it for snowboarding but im going to buy the handlebar mount for my bike and that'll be cool

  • i go ther all the time!

  • @MegaNahify Nice! the weather has been so nice recently I want to go! but so busy, cant wait till summer!

  • yo check out my channel i got some cool stuff from there, i use the gopro too

  • @CO0LTUBE got my bike.. Hope to do some riding this weekend. The shop guy talked me into keeping the V-Brakes (he also upgraded the brake cables) and just upgrading later to a better set of Disc when needed (if needed). I did get him to put a couple of better tubes in, so I have the originals for backups..

  • Yes I will most def pick up a better tube from the start.. It will be hard, but I will try not to bring up old BMX days of jumping with this bike.. Thx for the help and the Convo.. I hit you back when I pick her up!

  • @SouthernSaltine haha oh itll be hard but ok to give little jumps XD alrighty you too good luck! gnight

  • Yea I got a deal from a buddy that knows the guy at the shop on the 2011. I bought it $450 + what it cost to do the swap.. I'm guessing $100 more.. Thats about what the cost difference is in the bikes as they are. I'm 30 and just getting back into biking.. I was BIG into BMX back in the day racing and all.(Redline) Back then we didn't have all this fancy Smancy stuff! LMAO, damn I sound old! I was thinking of just going big from the start, but the Wife put a stop to that! Ahh if I were 19 again!

  • @SouthernSaltine yeah that sounds about right and pretty good, not bad,. AH i wouldnt know of those days XD im sure it was fun, biking always stays in ppl i guess! haha nah thats not old i see grandpas biking sometimes haha. well you can do a lot with this bike, they recommended no bigger than a 3 feet drop jump, but i weigh 200 and i abuse the hell out of it and its still pretty good, wheels are very strong. Again i recommend you change the tire tubing. mine went flat once, so get thicker tube.

  • @CO0LTUBE Thx... I think I will have them swap it to the Disc... I believe they have to swap forks, wheels, and handle set..Shouldn't be a problem.. Waiting to hear back on Monday what the cost would be...I hope to pick it up someone next week! Thx for the help on the BREAKS! LOL.. Can't wait to do some riding.. If you dont mind me asking how much did you pay?

  • @SouthernSaltine I think it was like 600 ish or so(msrp price), i think you should stick with what you got because they are going to have to change the firks, and all that jazz. Just saying i dont know how old you are, but if you get into biking you will move up a step to like a 160 mm fork bike. I am 19 and i know in few years i wanna upgrade. But for trails its a great bike! make sure you get the steal pedals btw.. dont BREAK a leg XD let me know what you do

  • @CO0LTUBE Also i forgot 2012 came out i hthink. mine is the 2011

  • @CO0LTUBE Thx 4 the quick reply.. I just bought this bike today! The 18" I got didn't have disc, just V-brakes but they had a smaller 16" that did have disc.. I was thinking of having them swap components on the 2 bikes so I could have disc... Just wondering how good the disc lock up the tires and have if they have the same stopping power as V's or more.. I didn't test ride a disc bike so I dont know.. Dont know alot about disc and this is my 1st "Real" mtb...

  • @SouthernSaltine hehe no problem, i got email notification on hehe. Yeah i was in the same boat as you before buying the bike, mine is actualy the 16 ", also my first real "mtb" i had a Raleigh before when i was younger, and i remember the breaking, so i can say that the disc is rly powerful. much more powerful it basicaly can lock if you want it to with ease. One thing i recommend, the tire tube that is with it is rly thin, i would get a thicker 10 $ one to be safe. V is ok too btw

  • Lol V breaks! V-Brakes....

  • How are the disc brakes? I seen in your review vid they were noisy.. Sqeeky? How well do they stop.. I heard some people say the V breaks are just as good and don't make noise..

  • @SouthernSaltine hello! lol breaks XD they stop rly rly great but as for the noise, its true it does make some noise for me its the back disc. I personally think its the pads that are bad, but maybe something like "avid 3"s would be better, and i think bigger. I wouldnt have minded getting the Vbrakes if i had to get it now. I was just excited to choose it since it is my first good bike lol. But anyways other than that, you should look into the chain, it is going a bit loose on me.

  • nice vid man, I just started riding these trails, I haven't even touched the part west of chimney rock yet
