    At which age or competitive level do you suggest athletes start incorporating sit ups, crunches and other similar movements into their workouts? If you encourage it at all

  • @bigjake573 Thanks for your great comment. Like any other exercise it is based on the abilities of each individual athlete, however, for reasons stated in the video and based on the research by Dr. Stuart McGill, I personally do not program situps or crunches for my athletes/clients. We work the core for what it's intended to do and that is to stabilize the spine, not flex it. If you have any other questions about working and developing young athletes please let me know.
