heidi, my boxer doesnt ever say anything except when i puff air at her or play "getcha hand". i wish i could teach her speak!! she doesnt bark at anything besides the kitties when she watns to play with them
teach him dead dog!! he rolls on his back and doesnt move untill you say so. i have an itallian greyhound mix i taught taht. she wags her tail cuz shes happy she does something i like i go " hershey dead dogs dont wag thier tail" and she stops and waits till itell her to get her cookie. Just a personal fave of mine lol
haha he loks just like my boxer when he was little he also learned very fast he knew a new trick in less then 15 minutes and he can jump through a hoop and high 5 (its like paw but when he brings his paw up move your hand up and say high 5)

Desi was easy to teach to speak. I had a cocker spaniel a few years ago that didn't want to learn, so I looked crazy because I always had a treat in my pocket, but every time he would bark at a leaf, or a running child I'd give him a treat and say speak. Eventually he just learned to bark for speak. Phoebe is very smart....that might work.

have him hold his head back, balance the treat on his lips, and have him "hold it..." until you say, "ok". He'll eat it right off the balance point.

besides his allergies..and his intense dislike of being cold.....hes never sick!
as a warning....boxers stink....horribly...and no food change will help this...
its like the bog of eternal stench in my house....but hes so cute.....its worth it
