  • Some drivers just cannot see further that what is just in front of them.

  • I happen to know what happened there, @ :26 you put up your hand/arm to signal to the driver to shift-over to make an illegal over-take, so, they make an attempt to do so, and then the driver sees that that would be risky to you, the on-coming cars and their health and well-being, so the drive wisely manouvres back into a safe position, behind you, so they can make a safe over-take at a safer place!!! ; > }

  • Very poor, made an idiot of themselves

  • The driver is Blind, I don't think he/she noticed you, lucky the traffice as pulling upto a red light :(

  • That's just an astonishingly bad piece of driving.

  • It's a shame they can't insert probes into cagers' heads so we can see whatever warped view of the world it is that they see

  • Operator obviously does not have a clue how to drive.

  • I think they were so fixated on getting past you, they completely missed the red light until they were halfway through the overtake.

It looks like they were going to overtake on the curve of the junction, but had to abort.

You can see, they were already starting the overtake immediately at the junction (at 1:00).

    Patience of an impatient goldfish!

  • @Cliffjumper24 Yes, that's my thoughts too. Silly driver...

  • @Cliffjumper24 I think you're right about the short sighted overtake, I think the blue on coming car brought him around, they both suddenly slowed, then notice the red light!

  • @Cliffjumper24 OTOH there should be no overtaking there at all even with a green light - it's a junction.

  • My money is on foreign, I am guessing a Kiwi! :-)

    What an idiot

  • What a complete and utter plank.

Can you get the registration number from the un-youtubed video?

I hope it won't be long before insurance companies start to take an interest in videos like this, when establishing suitable premiums.

  • @Camsplint From what I've heard, the police don't care that much about cyclists complaints unless there's an actual collision!

Maybe cyclists with camera should post video on youtube, and email all the insurance companies a link to the vid.

"Do you insure this motorist? If so, you may find they're not paying enough considering their driving standards!"

  • @Cliffjumper24 That's the benefit of putting the registration number on the description and in the tags.

It can only be a matter of time before motor insurance companies start doing an online search on the registration number before they decide what premium to charge.

Nobody wants to insure a bad risk at a low premium, and clips like this let them see what kind of risk they are underwriting.

  • @Camsplint When one have accident, they do search the Internet for the car reg to gather together their report. They've been doing this for a while.

  • @Camsplint YH11 JKN

  • you`re invisible!

  • Hard to say (you are just a bike - car must get in front)... Very hard.
