Seeing as they are two different conferences, teams of each respective conference seldom play each other, except for the odd rivalry games a la SC vs Clemson, Florida vs Florida State, etc. As far as bowl games, historically, the SEC has dominated. They also send more players off to the pros than any other conference. That is why I feel the SEC is superior to the ACC.

@bull864 I think Clemson does take the high road. They have higher standards for admission for athletes than most other major programs, including SC. Remember a few years ago when Clemson denied WR Dwight Jones because of his academics, then UNC was happy to scoop him up? UNC and FSU are the biggest cheaters in the ACC, by far as we now know.
Sure Clemson really, really wanted Clowney but wouldn't have pulled anything like "learning disabled" to have gotten him in if he didn't qualify.

@sclawman you can't judge someone's intelligence by how they speak in interviews. Some guys are nervous during them, and some guys are just naturally less articulate than others. I have an IQ over 130 and a Computer Science degree, but. I'm not that good at speaking.
I wasn't basing what I said about Clowney on his interviews. It's common knowledge that he's not a good student and has said he doesn't like reading. If he does qualify and do well at SC I'll be very happy for him personally.

@tron81 What Clemson did under Pell was far worse than what UNC did last year. UNC had a few upperclassmen get paid a couple thousand dollars and some help from tutors. Honestly, Clemson does the same thing now, so why not investigate Clemson? Hell, CJ Spiller's baby's mama was put up in a very nice apartment in Clemson so Spiller wouldn't transfer to Florida in '07. That's the same thing giving a player a couple grand in cash in my book.

Seeing as they are two different conferences, teams of each respective conference seldom play each other, except for the odd rivalry games a la SC vs Clemson, Florida vs Florida State, etc. As far as bowl games, historically, the SEC has dominated. They also send more players off to the pros than any other conference. That is why I feel the SEC is superior to the ACC.
