Oh man, another ff song that can be transformed into a rap song.......in the castle of vector is the devil's lab, making war machines, but not taxi cabs, using scholars for their research to find the espers, draining all of their magic causing the next disaster, the man behind it his life is a joke, but his sorcery is what makes you choke, Kefka can kill you in two seconds or less, it's casting Ultima is what the clown does best.
@locke3211 I was trying to draw flak. Everyone knows FF X-2 sucks harder than any game in the series. Right about 6 they dropped off forever into the abyss and not even 7 comes close to 6 or 4. (2 and 3 in the US). The only real final fantasies died when square switched over to the playstation.
@Farsight20 Actually, I'd dispute that a little - X-2 has one of the best iterations of the ATB system ever (and judging from 12 and 13, we're not likely to see a return to its excellent form for a very long time). If you like the game part of your FFs, X-2 is pretty amazing in its quality.
Just.. play it on mute, and don't try to comprehend the story.
@Farsight20 VI and IV are VI and IV in the US. This isn't the early 90s people. We've had the correct numeral releases for years. Enough is enough. Are people going to continue with that crap until 2100?
Does FFX-2 has a story that's the complete opposite of it's predecessor (X)? Story that makes one facepalm a regular routine? Does it has mediocre, unmemorable music? Is it overly fanservicey? FAR too many sidequest it becomes a chore to finish?
Yes but its ATB system is is the highlight in this title. I enjoy the battles immensely, more so than any other Final Fantasy I played. Though I do agree all other points I listed and others I haven't overshadow the pros. It's a pity really. :(
X-2 was anything but a bad game. It had a terrible storyline, and i didn't care at ALL how they tried to change Yuna and Rikku's image (polar opposite from the last game), but it was far from a bad game. In fact i throughly enjoyed most of the game, until it got into the main focus of the storyline, which did in fact suck. Probably the most anticlimatic final dungeon ever.
It has the most FUN rendition of the ATB system they came up with, IMO. It was fast, but still Final Fantasy.
My favorites in the series were 6,9,10, and 12. I'd have to say 12 is my favorite. I like mystic quest as well, but that's only because of nostalgia and its awesome music.
I never really cared much for final fantasy games after X. It just killed the franchise for me. I mean, I'll buy remakes of older final fantasy games, but the way they changed from being a jrpg royally pissed me off.
Holy cripes...I can really see where Mario RPG got its sound track from. (You know, that one game where Square Enix and Nintendo joined forces for that one time)
This sounds pretty darn awesome. I think I will go try this sometime soon.
The first time I played this classic was on the PS1. It never got a European release on the SNES, so I got Final Fantasy Anthology on import some years later. I used go in and out of the extras menu repeatedly trying to get this (or Dancing Mad) to play!
This music is one of the best examples of that unique hardware delay effect (or super echo) present on SPC700 processed music. I could say that this music is the quintessential SNES music.
I'd just like to mention that this song here is epic win.
Also, I find the interplay between the sort of upbeat "industrial electronic-rock" and the accompanying backing of the synth-strings in this song to fit and suit the song really well. It makes this song all the more dynamic, unique, flavourful, stylish, cool and awesome, really.
When I first entered this dungeon, all I heard was the first second of this song before I got into a battle, leaving me to believe that it was nothing but a bunch of random mechanical sounds. But when the battle ended, boy was I ever wrong...
true story first time i heard this song i was baked was like the coolest song to listen to the first time while being stoned but then you got more depressed cause you were baked and the song came to a end 2 soon
when i think of this music i think more of my stupidity and getting lost and fighting the "guardian", a baddie that couldnt be damaged that ran me through like a t'giving turkey...or remind me how much i suck at ff6, despite its awesomeness
Most creative, mind-blowing game of all time. The ONLY reason to relive my childhood is to replay this game over and over. The rest of my childhood was shite.
@PTp1ranha No, it's possible... you have to give up a chance at an awesome treasure later, and it's not really worth just to have a character that evades fights in the party at this point because the whole point of this stage of the game is to grind as you go... but it's possible.
@cabbitsd wait, what's this about a moogle charm? I'm replaying this game for like, the third time(BECAUSE IT'S THAT AWESOME) and I need some pointers. from what I remember, you can give up Mog for a Gold Hairpin at some point in the game, but who wants to do that?
So anyway, does that have anything to do with this moogle charm?
@darkfang172 The thing about giving up Mog for the Hairpin in the World of Balance is that you get a hairpin early on, plus you can get Mog later on in the World of Ruin. Getting Mog in the world of Balance eliminates the possibility of a Gold Hairpin, an invaluable accessory to have at this stage of the game, but gives you the only character capable of wearing the Moogle Charm, an accessory that evades most random battles.
@xGolbezx You know it's funny. One time my entire party was wiped out by a boss and all that was left was mog. He kept himself alive with his sunshine dance (or whatever it's called) and nickel and dimed the boss until he was beaten.
It was pretty hilarious, considering me and my friend at the time thought that mog was dead meat (because he wasn't using his healing dance when the OTHER members needed it).
@cabbitsd Ahhh...I also remember reading somewhere, that if you don't get mog in the world of balance and even if you get him later in the world of ruin, you won't be able to learn his "Water Rondo" Dance.
Among people I know I'm the only one who really likes the Magitek Factory part of the game. Maybe they have their sound turned off when this plays? :)
Yeah, good info and I appreciate it. But I already knew this. What I was referring to was the Turks because they are from FF7 not 6, but then I realized its the long running joke about the turks, the "no job is impossible" thing.

@Farsight20 did you know what? I have 4 reason for why I don't love FF VII
1-Only 3 people in a battle (before 4, excepting FF IV have 5!!!)
2-the protect, shell have not a permanet magic? (sorry, bad english)
3-it's more techno :( + it's not really fantasy (because of the technology)
4-slow downloading compared to older ( I know PS)
