Also, nobody had UM's defense ranked #1 going into last season. That's an outright lie. The defensive line was expected to perform well, but there were obvious holes throughout the secondary, particularly with Steve Brown at starting FS going into the season. Not that it matters -- a preseason ranking is just conjecture, anyway.
But whatever makes your win meaningful, I guess.
It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you're a fool than open it and confirm that you are.
