Boston came through Birmingham in the late 70's. The lights went down and Tom slowly rose up from the center stage -spot-lighted by a slowly brightening single beam of light - playing the keyboards to Foreplay before the lights came up and they ripped in to Long Time! They sounded awesome live!
Except for maybe the Beatles in the mid 60s, I've ever seen a hotter band than Boston was for a couple years there in the late 70s. Makes me miss my 68 Mustang, my long hair and my original Converse All Star high tops.
In 1996 my dad bought a brand new Harley Davidson And soon after we we're always going on ride and camping and one day he bought a Boston Tape and played it all the time when we we're out riding. I was about 11 then and we camped a lot till I was about 14 then it all ended. I'm 24 now and I still love Boston and will try to continue on the legacy with my 5 year old son. Oh the memories I only wish I could go back to.
I first heard this summertime 2005, i remember listening to it and having butterflies not knowing what to except from my first day as an HS freshman, somehow it just struck a chord with me.
A sad breakup song, powerful words, in the key of the happiest and brightest note of D. Kind of a sliver lining in a dark cloud. Thanks for the video:)
One of my first LP's, I've purchased back in the day!!!! God Bless Boston!!!

You hurt me real bad Darcy, but you're still Just Another in a Grand Design, as Brad sings.

This one is dedicated to Darcy. I hurt her, but then she hurt me much worse.
