A great old club, even Newcastle are too. But as bad as the mackems can be, at least they win the odd lower league trophy! Newcastle fans expect too much and are a middle of the road club aswell. The words obviously re-written to suit a short history of Sunderland. The image that appears after the cup final is of the avatar of a Sunderland supporting friend who died prematurely of cancer not so long ago, about 1 year before the passing of Ian Porterfield himself.
