I like Chris Broderick, he's a really talented guy, absolutely no question. But Marty Friedman was my favorite, simply because of his lack of interest in metal music and more of a pop sensibility. I really think that gave Megadeth a more unique sound up until The World Needs a Hero, which lacked Marty, dooming it to be a standard heavy metal affair, albeit a good record.

I've listened Metallica and Megadeth for almost 20 years and I can tell you that Master of puppets is Metallica's best album, BUT Megadeth has the best guitar riffs in the world. Countdown and Youthanasia have the best drums and guitar I've ever heard in my life. Metallica's and justice for all has complex drums and guitar too.
