One of the few shows I watched that I enjoyed and was willing to take some risks. I remember the fire in the apartment that was set off with Webster's fireworks (he bought them without permission from Ma'am and George, had lit one, thought he put it out, and then it set on fire). Until then, you usually didn't see a house or something on fire in these sitcoms - at least the family residence.
THat and Webster's adoption added to a lot for discussion, but I didn't care - it was that fun to watch.

One of the few shows I watched that I enjoyed and was willing to take some risks. I remember the fire in the apartment that was set off with Webster's fireworks (he bought them without permission from Ma'am and George, had lit one, thought he put it out, and then it set on fire). Until then, you usually didn't see a house or something on fire in these sitcoms - at least the family residence.
THat and Webster's adoption added to a lot for discussion, but I didn't care - it was that fun to watch.

Yeah agree with lkilledColMustard & ilsy74...practically every damn thing else is on DVD...why? because DVD shows all the unedited stuff & outtakes that alot of networks don't air for lousy commercials or time restraints...& where the hell is "The Wonder Years" on DVD!!...another great show not on DVD platform...(don't want the bootleg copies online)

Until just now, I never realized that the mother (Susan Clark) played Cherry Forever in the first "Porky's" movie. Always knew that Alex Karras played the sheriff in the film....but having seen both the movie and this show countless times, I never made the Susan Clark connection. Wow.... Learn something new every day I guess. lol
