  • I did have a few issues with the original model, but nothing that Customer Service didn't help walk me through fixing or replacing. But since the upgraded model has come out, I haven't had even one problem! It's definitely worth the investment, and I can't tell you any cons, except size and having a space with electricity, water & drain. I have an older house, so it won't fit in my bathroom, but we're putting on an addition & we are building in a CatGenie "closet"!

  • @lissa8869 ha ha a CAT GENIE CLOSET..

  • are you sure you aren't being paid to promote them...LOL just kidding. I actually do want to get one for my cat, but I'm not sure of the cons (if there are any) because it seems everyone is saying good about these cat genies.

  • Cat says to CatGenie "Dude what are you doing with my poop man!"

  • LOL!

  • @crmfghtr Guess it's saying, I must pee I must pee I must pee omg how long does this take I must pee AARGH is that WET! I must pee I must pee I MUST PEEEEEEEE ... ok, I'll take the bedroom rug.

  • very cool how did you hook up two of them?

  • We actually have 3 of them! You just need a "splitter" for the cold water & we used a Y shaped PVC pipe inserted into the laundry drain pipe for the drain lines.

  • He's so cute and curious!

  • I bought mine when the company first launched and I LOVE them. I would never go back. They are constantly making improvements that make the CatGenie better than it was before. DEFINITELY worth it - I'm actually thinking of getting a 3rd one soon.

Use discount code F10299 for $30 off the Tabby Package.

  • I've had the CatGenies for well over 2 years, and purchased mine when they were in the beginning stages. Since then, many upgrades have been done that have only made them better. I LOVE them. I would never go back. Being an electrical and mechanical product, be patient & let Customer Service assist you. I cannot say enough about this amazing, ingenious product.

Use discount code F10299 for $30 off the Tabby Package.

  • Hi, I just have one cat. I see you have a few and two catgenies... Now that they have had full use and youve had it for a while, whats your take on them? I want to get one but they are expensive... Is it realy worth it?

  • WOW..I have four cats..and this looks amazing to have for them, how often does it clean itself?

  • I have 2 of them and they are set to clean 3/day. You can set it to run 1-4 times/day and also manually whenever you want by pushing the start button. It's not a clock timer, but rather divides 24 hours by however many times/day you want it to run (so 3 times is every 8 hours).

I have 2 of them for the 4 cats.

I also have a discount code for $30 off the tabby package - F10299

  • is it safe for him to play with that? just curious I'm getting my first pet Saturday. great video by the way!

  • The sanisolution is the same stuff they use at the vet's to wipe down & sanitize exam tables. It's perfectly safe for animals.

  • oh ok, cool. i just read that on your other reply. lol!! i wasn't implying that you were being unsafe but that was the first thing i thought.

  • Best invention EVER for cat owners! Here's a discount code if you're thinking of getting one: The discount code is F10299. It's $30 off the Tabby Package

  • Not at all! Depending on where you are hooking it up (laundry room vs bathroom), there are easy instructions included.

  • great vid

i liked this video :) nl

  • Wow, this does look like a wonderful invention.......how much do they cost? do you have to have it close to a plug in, and does it drain into your toilet? I want one now that I have seen it in action......thanks so much for posting this.

  • I have a discount code for $30 off the Tabby Package that I can give you if you decide to purchase one, and it does come with a 90 day return policy. The electric cord, drain & water hoses are pretty long, so it doesn't have to be right next to everything. Mine are actually setup in my basement near my laundry, so it drains into the same drain as my washing machine hose does, but you can have it drain into your toilet and then just flush it when it's done cleaning.

  • what kind of cat is that it looks like a baby leopard.

  • He's a Bengal. They come spotted or marble. My 2 boys are spotted, and I have a girl that's a marble.

  • This gives good meaning to the phrase "curiosity kills the cat" :) You have some pretty ktties there. My cats enjoy watching the catgenie in operation.

  • Is the cleaning purifying stuff that goes into it safe for the cats to get their paws into and then lick their paws when the machine is doing it's cleaning?

  • The sani-solution is totally safe. It's the same stuff that vets use to sanitize the tables.

  • See that is the problem with running it with a cat in the room they play in it and a kitten could jump into it whrn it is running and get that wet litter on them and make a mess. all in all it looks cool.

  • Jesus it's louder than a fucking jackhammer and washing machine combined.

  • It's actually not loud, but the sound is amplified through the video - the only noise is the water running (just llike your faucet) and when the pump is running to drain, and that's no louder than the dishwasher.

  • Do its scares your cat?...they jumps in wen it ready?...yes I need two maybee we haves 6 cats in thes fomily, I was thinking of maybee to built a car that runs on this poops of theirs, this is many times better.

  • Doesn't scare them at all, but I have Bengals and they are naturally curious about EVERYTHING. I only run each one twice/day, and it's usually when they are sleeping. They have jumped in when the bowl is turning, but they only splash in the water when it's cleaning (however, they do jump in the shower with us and will play in the bathtub full of water and ping pong balls). For 6 cats, I would get at least 2 and run them 2-3 times/day. Each cleaning cycle is 30 minutes.

  • Is it that the system would be callenged by the volume...Of...the "duece" I mean... I also needs to sees how big it is... my boy Gizspahcho, for his "cold soup"look he gives me, Is Likes 30lbs&he's likely to mess down the side iffen I dunt get the super deluxe model. I think its at Petco I'm gona look..Thanks for the"Word up"I nedd to makes a video of "cho" He's atalker ,"HELLO,GO"(fill my fud)"BOWL NOW"

  • How many cats do you have ? How many Cat genies do you have ? Are those Bengals or Senegeti cats ? I have 6 cats, I don't have the C.G. yet.

  • I have 4 cats - an 18 month Ragdoll and 3 Bengal kittens, 8, 9 & 10 months - and 2 CatGenies that run a cleaning cycle twice a day.

  • Yikes, how loud is that thing?

  • It's not that loud - when it's cleaning, the loudest it gets is during the drain cycle and it's no louder than the washing machine or dishwasher.

  • LOL i like your little orange kitty

  • Hehehe, cute. :D

I do think the CatGenie's a great concept, but I don't think it'd be functional for my cat... the use-able area looks way too small and cramped/stressful. That darn scoop takes up half of it, and the overhang another bunch, leaving only a small round-walled area for the cat to use. Does it seem to bother the larger cat any, having to dodge all that and being unable to have a free position?

  • The scoop lifts up and folds behind, into the little space you can see above it. ;)

  • It does appear small, but it really isn't. Of my 4 cats, my largest are the 13 lb Ragdoll and an 18 lb Bengal, and neither one has a problem with the space. CatGenie offers a 90 day return policy, and I know you'll love it once you get it. I have a discount code for $30 off the Tabby Package - if you decide to buy one, I'll give you the code.

  • O_O an 18 lb Bengal?! Woo! Big kitteh! I have a robust tabby, he's about 15 pounds. His name's Mochi. He's aptly named; he's big, round, squishy and sweet. :) I just worry about my second cat, who has the rough intelligence of a potato. I wonder if he'd be able to adapt to this.

  • He's probably about 20 lbs now. But we sort of knew what we getting when we adopted him. All the cats at this breeder were HUGE. He's just a really big cat, not fat at all, just enormous! I think if you leave the old litter box beside the CatGenie and don't clean it, your other cat will figure it pretty quick.

  • Thanks for that vid! I'm still making up my mind about buying the Cat Genie.... after watching this, I'm worried about our kitties putting their paws into the cleaning solution mixed with poop and tracking it around...... My cat Sugarplum likes to poke into the shower or bath when I'm there, so I'm quite SURE he would do this too.....

  • The poop is scooped into the waste container before the cleaning solution is injected in the litter. No poo water to worry about.

  • They do get disinterested after it's been there for a while. It's definitely worth it, and you have a 90 day return policy. If you decide to buy one, let me know and I'll give you the discount code I have - it's good for $30 off the Tabby package.

  • Can I have the code im getting one soon.

  • The discount code is F10299. It's $30 off the Tabby Package.

  • Awhh cute cats

    Haha they kept pokin lol
