  • @MrTeseeMarie No,it doesn't!!!!

  • I think everybody should just go look up the youtube video "fur coat"-by Tes Dekker and tell me it doesn't make you cry.

  • Someone should tell her she looks like a twat flaunting a carcass! I mean really? Why are humans such a disease?

  • The hunting of lynx is illegal in many countries. The Iberian lynx is almost extinct and killing them has been outlawed since the 1970s in Spain and Portugal.

  • When you people next wear your 'luxurious' fur coat, Just remember what the animal went through so you can look.. well.. a bit uglier.

  • Must say, prospect of keeping straight face while watching this---is getting less likely by the minute.

  • How can this coat be beautiful??? She looks like she's a primitive woman, better yet... the abominable snow monster! And this the creepiest kind of clothing man ever created..... skinning animals alive so they can wear their fur in their bodies? How creepy. Creepy people.

Still, I'd love to see this woman's reaction if she was skinned alive.... not that's beautiful!

  • Yes a beautiful coat and so nice to go back to when fur was appreciated without all this moral posturing. Everybody likes fur and always has done so .... objections are about denial of pleasure. Why single this issue out when there are so many other bad things far worse going on in the world ....... bullying disguised as moral lecturing.

    Thanks for posting ......

  • now you can clean your fur at home with Lana's Fur Cleaning Kit - clean, deodorize, and glaze in a few easy steps

  • COMPASSION IS THE FASHION!!! DON'T WEAR OR BUY FUR, WOOL, OR LEATHER

  • Fur is beautiful. It's not lynx...It's dyed fox.

  • LYNX IS AN ENDANGEREN SPECIES!

    YOU NASTY PERVS

  • Lol. That's not beautiful that looks like it's 8 numbers too big :D Just awful..

I just can laugh about those people thinking that fur is amazing.. It's 2010 not 1810 or whatever..

    Poor guys.

  • now would they really use a real fur coat in the making of a tv show where anything could happen to it I mean really people

  • Its actually fox dyed to resemble lynx

  • love r in a fur

  • looks so soft and fluffy. very beautiful

  • that's disgusting...

  • @missbabycakes69

You idiot, that doesn't happen everywhere.

Fur is beautiful & so much better for the environment than faux!

  • @owlandflamingo You do not know what you're talking about. The fur industry is self-regulated. The killing methods are crude. The animals' living conditions are always cruel. And remember: no one needs fur.

Preserving fur is highly toxic to the earth. These are harsh chemicals. Dumping the chemicals, carcasses and animal waste is also damaging tot he earth.

90% of "faux fur" is dog and cat fur from China, where they skin animals alive. Over half of the West's fur is skins derived from China.

  • @thestreetsempty

Fur farms usually recycle the animal carcasses into feed.

Gassing an animal isn't "crude" & they live in clean cages. Chinese fur farming (skinning an animal alive) is a probably a myth.

It's impossible for faux fur to be real as it's extremely easy for someone to tell the difference between the two. You're the person that doesn't know what they're talking about. Instead of believeing the lies that animal rights organisations are pumping into you, do some research yourself.

  • @owlandflamingo Some farms recycle the carcasses into feed. The diseased, same-species carcasses. Most do not. They have something called "carcass landfills". Mounds and mounds of carcasses, diseased, rotting away, for birds to pick and and migrate with those diseases. There is no difference between a fur farm and factory farm. But I'm sure you'd argue those are rainbow lands, as well.

watch?v=sLcgxIGTFRs Does this look like a myth to you? This is LEGAL. 1,000 a day die this way, in China.

  • One article about 90% of faux fur being dog/cat fur: watch?v=_ZjVOiWwDwk

How to discern the difference (not always easy, now a days): watch?v=ZuLku3xJYLs

It IS crude to gas them. Watch a demonstration of how long it takes them to die, with each method. (The most common method is neck-breaking, btw - for economic purposes and to protect integrity of fur).

No comments on how they're raised in battery cages, eh? No regard for how we don't need fur, so it is needless death? Of course not.

  • And guess what? You can venture off of YouTube to research exactly what you are endorsing. Google the fur trade. Find out for yourself. Or, maybe it doesn't matter to you.

So, why do you think you view dead animal skins as luxurious? What is the difference between a mink and roadkill? Why do you think it's okay to kill animals for pleasure? How is that any different than the actions of deranged people?

  • @thestreetsempty

So you're basing a one of video as the truth? You're taking every single bad example as the truth! Yes, a lot of people do think it's a myth because that would damage the fur & make the person doing it at risk.

What diseased carcasses? A diseased animal's fur wouldn't be as high quality as a healthy animal's. Keeping the animals in good condition is in the farmers best interest.

I agree that not all farms are as humane as others, but thinking they're all the same is idiotic.

  • @owlandflamingo No, it doesn't damage the fur. Remember: dog and cat fur is treated with dyes and chemicals to change its colour and texture. They need not be so delicate with those furs (as they are sold under $150 as faux fur).

Visit a fur farm. See how healthy the animals are. They receive NO medical treatment and weeks before furring are starved so the fur is easier to pull from the body. Diseased, from living in their own filth in cramped cages.

You deny the reality and evade questions.

  • And since all of my claims are documented and confirmed by the industry itself: you are either justifying murder by apathy or justifying murder by social conditioning. You see it is not a myth, yet do not seem to know what "myth" means. Or, you just don't care.

Again: Why do you think you view dead animal skins as luxurious? What is the difference between a mink and roadkill? Why do you think it's okay to kill animals for pleasure? How is that any different than the actions of deranged people?

  • @thestreetsempty

If mink become the dominant species & decide they want to make a coat out of my skin, be my guest. I honestly do not think there's anything wrong with killing an animal if you are going to use it. You clearly think otherwise, but I don't care about your opinion & you shouldn't care about mine.

The animals aren't being killed for pleasure, they're being used as a resources. I think it's okay to use meat & leather, so disagreeing with fur would be hypocritical.

  • @owlandflamingo The human species does not hold the right to destroy the planet or harm other animals out of pleasure. You don't need fur - this means, it is a luxury item - this means, animals used as fur are killed for pleasure.

Right, and we don't need meat or leather either. Please, research these issues before speaking. And before being a little wide-eyed drone for Capitalism, try actually analyzing what you're told you need to buy and suffering you need to contribute to. Evolve, it's fun.

  • Hypocrisy at its most humanly finest: people who wouldn't kill an animal themselves, but would pay others to. People who view some animals are above being murdered for pleasure, and other animals having the sole purpose of being exploited by the human species.

  • @thestreetsempty

Hahah if I'd have realised you were a vegetarian I wouldn't have started this in the first place! What about all of those carrots you're murdering?! If you don't want to eat meat maybe you should have your canines ripped out? It's not like you'd need them anyway. What about the beloved cats & dogs you're clearly so passionate about? Wild animals were taken from their habitats just so humans could have them as pets! Isn't that exploiting an animal for pleasure?

  • @owlandflamingo Plants are not sentient. I made a video about that ridiculous (and psychopathic) argument, actually: watch?v=IFXi6MjKw-0

Watch it, if you truly believe there is no difference between the slaughter of sentient beings vs. using the edible parts of a plant.

We need plants to survive. We don't need to kill sentient beings and destroy the planet and hoard food from starving countries, etc. Google.

The government implements national killing of predatory animals to protect livestock.

  • Herbivores such as deer and horses have canine teeth, much sharper and longer than ours. Our closest relatives are frugivores who feed omnivorously during food shortages. Even if we were carnivorous, it wouldn't justify destroy the planet and enslaving animals. Oh, we haven't claws, fangs, saliva/stomach enzymes, intestines, brain make up, or torsos of carnivorous/omnivorous animals. But we have these stubby "canines" and the rest of our flat, round teeth. Go eat some raw meat.

  • Domestic animals are exploited by humans. I agree. However, since we bred them, we now are obligated to properly care for them. This doesn't mean we should keep breeding them. I believe in spaying/neutering all domestic animals. Only shelters should be available for adopting animals in need. Pet mills, pet stores, and "pedigree" breeding should be banned. But let's talk about the issue of furring. This is what you're claiming is so important to your very existence and identity.

  • @thestreetsempty

Hahahah on dear. There's no point in arguing with you is there? I'm off to go eat a tasty steak in my fur coat, leather shoes & sit on my leather sofa. Seeya!

  • @owlandflamingo Whatever you say, after which: become informed about what you're contributing to and how you don't have to be a mindless drone. You flamingo, you.

  • @thestreetsempty

If an animal was living in dreadful conditions with horrendous diseases, it would be covered in wounds, scabs, ticks etc. I'm pretty sure that would decrease the quality of fur. You also clearly know nothing about fabric. Regardless of how a fur is treated or disguised, it's obvious that it's real.. Some alleged faux fur may be real, but definitely not 90% of it.

I agree that that might happen at some farms, but if you're buying from a good source that does not happen.

  • @owlandflamingo Right, like these cases: watch?v=6USMWEhbFQ4 watch?v=moceenTkTbA And countless others.

The highest quality fur is sold as whole stoles. The others are pieces together - using the skins not having lacerations.

It IS 90%. Look it up. Don't just deny it - prove me wrong. Go for it.

How do you know if it is a good source? Are you at the farm 24/7? Also: how can it ever be a good source? These animals are killed for no reason. You don't need fur.

    Still evading. Be accountable.

  • Show me a humane demonstration of killing animals for pleasure.

Show me humane and sanitary keeping of animals killed for pleasure.

This is an industry of suffering. It is a supply being met by a demand. A demand by people who see nothing wrong in imposing harm unto nonhuman animals. Even the beloved cat and dog is evidently of no consequence. So long as one can look like one has fleas.

Go break a mink's neck. Tear off its skin. Treat it with toxic chemicals. Wear it. See how you feel then.

  • @thestreetsempty

I give up with this. You're not going to change your mind & I'm not going to change mine. I don't care whether or not you're against fur farming or not, but please understand that not all of the fur business is dirty. We clearly have a different view on things though, so you're probably going to continue avoiding decent fur farms & only believing the horrifying cases. You should probably check out the truth behind "Animal snuff films" though. Do with it what you want.

  • @owlandflamingo Prove me wrong that the fact is: the majority of kill methods and confinement are crude and impose suffering. Prove me wrong that the fact is: the fur industry is highly environmentally hazardous and unsustainable.

You claim fur is not a luxury item. That the fur trade is a justifiable industry. You've made no claims to back your beliefs. Which means you haven't actually thought about it - just consume, consume, consume.

You should check out the truth behind the fur trade.

  • And if there are humane killing and confinement methods: show me. Back your claims, as I did mine.

Oh, and you don't need fur. Therefore, their deaths are unjustifiable. We are not entitled to other species. Murder is murder. And you know it.

  • @thestreetsempty

    watch?v=ZejGndpWEkw

    watch?v=0sPa4eeNWz0&feature=related

I'd rather have one fur/leather coat that will last me years than several synthetic ones that will just end up in a landfill. Killing an animal isn't murder. We are entitled to lesser species because we are the dominant one. I think killing an animal if you are going to use it is fine. How many times do I have to say it?

  • @owlandflamingo The production of both faux fur and authentic require toxic chemicals and synthetic agents. One involves actual suffering of sentient beings. But I agree: no one needs any type of fur. It is mere fashion. We should be more sustainable. I am not advocating faux fur - I am saying: stop murdering animals and finding pathetic attempts at excuses to justify doing so.

Prove furring is humane and sustainable. Go for it.
