  • @cossmo814 Boy, he's so dead he just ran an indie wrestling show this week.

  • @cossmo814 you stupid honky

  • it's so fake...

  • @bananino2010 WHAT?!?

  • @MisterJayEm they are bad actors!

  • LOL at the clip on tie at 5:05. This is so much better than what is on now.

  • I watched this on tv when it aired originally.

  • DAMN! Now that was what wrestling is supposed to be like!

  • Man, the Assassin was one of the best talkers ever.

  • 03:45 Check out Gordon Solie's expression!

  • I remember when we first got cable TV and could watch TBS, which had alot of great wrestling shows back in the early 80's.

  • I can remember watching this when it first aired. Mr. Wrestling 2 was my favorite wrestler when I was a kid. Man I hated the Assassins but then again, I was supposed to.

  • Great mic work and back and forth work

  • At that time, was Assassin 2 Randy Culley? I think Tom Renesto was retired by then.

  • assassin #1 has always been one mean sob and he did it for over 20 years. one hell of a heel.

  • good lord, has assassin #1 always been 150 years old?

  • Gordon Solie is without a doubt the best commentator ever.

  • @WTS1377 If you ever get a chance, check out some vids with Bob Caudle from Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling from the seventies and eighties. Solie was great, but Bob Caudle was the KING!!

  • This was when wrestling was wrestling, and most of you know referee Tommy Jones is the son on one of the Assassins. That is really cool.

  • @dukebluedevil1able Actually it was referee Nick Patrick that was the Assassins son.

  • Let's get in the ring right now! (as he takes off his clip on) LOL!

  • Wrestling 2 wore the mask to hide from paternty law Suites

  • Wrestling 2 is a huge farter. I've been at the Varsity in ATL and heard him totally rip several times. It sounded like mud hitting a wall and stunk like a dead rat covered in chili.

  • @hotgold9 he doesent live in ATL anymore.

  • @EverydaySteeze This was 1980 when he was ripping the farts.

  • @hotgold9 he is my brothers football teammates grandpa.

  • @EverydaySteeze Nice. My cats are named Mr. Wrestling 1 and 2. He was the first wrestler I ever saw on TV and I've been hooked ever since.

  • @hotgold9 When you are Mr. Wrestling II you can fart any where you damn well please.Just like a dog pissing on a tree,he was marking his territory with his methane. What you smelled "like a dead rat covered in chilli",was the smell of victory.Because that is what champions do,fart and stink up the joint. :p

  • "and I'll back you up" Yeah thanks alot Johnny Come Lately.

  • Wrestling will never be this great again. Mid-Atlantic and Georgia Champion Ship were the greatest of all time. The wrestlers there knew how to make it qall believeable.

  • 5:03

Mr. Wresting was wearing a clip on tie. :)

  • Billy Corgan sent me here.

  • @ApatheticHeaney Billy Corgan is a wrestling fan? Cool.

  • mr wrestling had a clip on tie

  • If you look closely, at the 6:38 mark, you can tell that Mr. Wrestling II does a blade job.

  • Would even a normally intelligent man wear an 8-inch clip-on tie?

  • @OleNumbr7 MAYBE HE COULDN'T BE CHOKED WITH A REAL TIE? IF THEY PULL ON IT IT COMES RIGHT OFF.

  • reminds me of the old municipal auditorium days here in columbus ga

  • @tdubb621 do you know were to get footage from the municipal auditorium

  • I remember when Hamilton and Walker were both heels, in Dothan, AL. Both were part of "The Stud Stable" (not at the same time) and went after "Bullet" Bob Armstrong. Armstrong wore a mask and called himself "The Bullet". He unmasked both men himself. I miss the days of aggressive wrestling.

  • @14DaveHunter Bob Armstrong couldn't take Mr. Wrestling II's mask on his best day and II's worst day.

  • @matthewmayhem

Well, Armstong did unmask him (Dothan, AL;1986), but the Studd Stable covered him up, before the fans saw him. Later, II turned babyface and teamed with the Bullet.

  • Jody Hamilton and Johnny Walker are two of the best, PERIOD.

  • This is how it's done son, rasslin' was the best. "You've done went too far now Boy, nobody calls me yella" vintage stuff right hear.

  • looks like the assasin!

  • Classic baby...Wrestling 2 to the rescue

  • Now this is an interview! The talent on the mic that both of these guys display can't be understated. thanks for posting!

  • Wasnt that Don Marrocco, as the other Assassin?

  • @SuprJoinT Ron Renesto, Hercules Hernandez, and Roger Smith were the second Assasins. Smith would later go to Memphis and become Dirty Rhodes, a distant relative of Dusty.

  • God I love this. i was a fan of all 4 of them. i seen Assassin 1 fight Ox baker in Atlanta once and could not talk for a week after screaming all night. I was only around 12 or so at the time and was setting in the front row. Assassin 1, Don Grenesto, had Ox baker against the rope and was hitting him. I screamed hit him again. He looked at me and smiled and said you want me to hit him again. I screamed yes and he knock fire from Ox bakers ass.

  • @MyDaddyCool by the way assassin was jody hamelton not don grenesto

  • @cossmo814 I had the name wrong. It was Tom Renesto. Jody Hamilton a retired professional wrestler and current promoter/trainer. Hamiltion best known as one half of The Assassins. When the Assassins ended Hamilton wrestled as "The Assassin" and "The Flame" both while wearing a mask. Jody Hamilton teamed up with Tom Renesto in late 1961 to form the masked heel (bad guy) team known as "The Assassins" and for over a decade Hamilton and Renesto wrestled all over the world with great success.

  • Is #1 Tim Woods? He sounds a bit like Ole Anderson

  • Thank goodness the referee was there to restore order!

  • clip on tie

  • Gotta love Mr. Wrestling #1s shirt (he comes in late in the clip). His shirt can tell you the year--about 1976?

  • Awesome angle! Love the clip on tie that II was wearing, and not to mention the shirt by I. How I wish wrestling were still this way.

  • One of the Greatest Angles!!--Jody Hamilton is always great on the mike!!--"Suspect as far as I am concerned!!"

  • Great Promo, good timing and pace.

  • That was REALLY compelling! I loved seeing Wrestling I WITH II!

  • Jody Hamilton sounds like Stone Cold here.
