I saw this episode, one of the key factors to this bite was that the cobra had recently shed which tends to put them in a more defensive attitude as they cannot see well. In addition that cobra had a retained eye cap which had to be removed, this really put the snake in a bad mood and more eager to strike. In the end the handler failed to properly read the animal and gauge it's mood.
