I didn't see this season when it originally aired, so I don't know how it was back then, but looking at it now (for the first time), it seems like 70% of the show is geared towards telling Rob & Amber's story, and the remaining 30% is the game of Survivor. It's quite ridiculous if you ask me. People complained that Samoa sucked because 70% of the show revolved around Russell and Shambo; apparently they forgot this season, which served as it's precedent! =/

If I had been Boston Rob,

I would have told my team to throw this competition. If the other team loses, then Amber would be the easy choice to evict. That way, Rob's team could instead get rid of the one new member. The numbers would still ultimately be in their favor. I don't like playing dirty, and I rarely think it's a good thing to willingly throw a challenge. But in this case, in his shoes, I would have.
