  • if a budgie and a finch had babies they would be called "fudgies" or binches but fudgies i think sound cooler

  • aww, your parakeet looks like one of males! super cute!

  • Nice video. Your Budgie and Finch are great pals. God bless.

  • @morekare Thanks! :D

  • aww i wiish my budgie wasznt so agresiive :( ........... xD

  • yo u should not do that. i mean your budgie can hurt the zebra finch!

  • They lived like this for 6 years, and they are still like brothers. The finch is 11 years old now, had a pair that passed avay. So the finch literarry moved in the budgie's cage. So no concern here please. Everyone wonders how could a budgie and a finch live together. Well it's simple as this. I've been dealing with birds since I was 6 years old... So trust me. You should see them playing.

  • @Xantophia a single finch and budgie gel very well in my house too.

  • @Hinduismglance Well, that's a great thing to hear about. A lot of people don't understand how can a finch and a budgie live together. Well, my case is a fine example, everyone should see them together day by day.

  • @rabia846 Budgies and Zebra Finches have lived in the same habitat for thousands upon thousands of years. I think they'll be okay.

  • Hahaha your budgie looks like he's insane xD Exactly like ours.

  • i think some of the comments on this video were very mean and rude!

  • BUDGIE RAPE

  • hahahahaha!!

the budgie couldn't stop his head from nodding

it really laughs soo hard and soo cute

budgies totally are one of the nosiest birds I know hahaha !!!

  • the zebra finch is trying to say "dude! im a NOT a f**kin BUDGIE!" too bad for him, lol

  • your budgie has a very unusual tail for a green bird xD its realy nice!!!

  • THe finch seems annoyed and the the budgie flies away and he seems like he wants the budgie back

  • budgies are known for bullying other birds, he is non-stop harrassing that finch. i hope they live in seperate cages

  • he's courting, he's a male, and thats what they do when they fancy another bird, they sing to them and try to feed them

  • @keyboardwarrior666 it happens with my birds!!!!they are always pecking and trying to kill my zebra finch!!!

why u find this amuses you

  • i have 2 budgies and lulu (female) always chases punch (male) where ever he goes lol

  • ur mean

  • cmon with the title of the video 'stupid budgie'? hes not stupid hes doing what is available to him like a prisoner :)

  • Careful i used to have 4 finches and 2 budgie but i herd that zebra finches arent suppose to be out their cage because they get too excited or scared so they basically die of a heart attack thats what happened to one of my zebra finches:(

  • Well, my finch is 9 years old now. And he was held free since I bought him. ...I can hold him in my the palm of my hand without any problem. I grew him up this way, and now he and the budgie are very docile...

  • Your zebra finch was probably hand fed by humans when it was a baby because my zebra finches fly away whenever i try to hold them. I bet your zebra finch was hand fed when it was just a little chick.

  • budgies are not stupid they are cute!

  • your budgie is happy with the zebra finch

  • HEY budgies are not dum... they are the most presious animals in the world

  • I know they are not dum. :) But seeing this every day, it amuses me a lot. I'm a bird fanatic. I love all species of birds, especially the small ones. And I love my budgie. ...but he is sometimes looking and acting like an idiot, but this is actually what I like the most. It means he's feeling more tha OK.

  • cute birds!!! I love your birds :D

  • Haha my budgies always flies along side my finch! Though my bigger budgie is actually more or so scared of the finch!, and always flies of if the finch get's close! :D Ironic seeing as my smaller budgie always will play with the tiny zebra finch :D

    Cute video! :D

  • uh be careful zebra finches and budgies arent supposed to be held together!!

it can happen that the budgie tries to snap the finches legs with his beak

    they do that instinclively

  • hahahaha i love ur budgie its so lovely

  • Your budgie is sooooooo gorgeous!! He/she must be so much fun to have. It looks very playful!

  • we have finches and budgies :)

  • i love how zebra finches honk instead of chirp. great video!

  • aww!

  • why doesn't the finch fly away, is it trained

  • chances are the wings are clipped so it cant fly lol

  • nope the finch is tamed! i can c the wings clearly!

  • sunt as de frumosi

  • run little finch, run like the wind!!!!

  • My first zebra finch lived to be 14 years old! My parents bought the little guy for me when I was in 4th grade and he finally died while I was in college.

  • Wow. Glad to hear of another finch as old as mine. Was he also a standard gray color with red cheeks?--Mine is standard color and my family bought him when I was in 1st grade, June of 1994, and he was about 4 months old at purchase-- so I think he's 14 yrs 4 months old.

  • Yeah! He was a standard color, had a beautiful song too. Haven't heard any other bird do it as good as him lol Awesome to hear about your own finch, makes me happy :)

  • Update: My old guy died last week, Aug. 30th. We had him for 14 yrs 3 months (6/94 - 9/08), and he was approx. 3-6 months old at purchase -- So he was almost 15 years old in total life span. The funny little guy only ate seed, with an occasional lettuce leaf. I bet he'd be 16 or so if I had changed his cage more often.

  • I'm sorry to hear that. You had such a sturdy little finch there, and I'm sure he was thankful for a owner like you :)

  • ahhh so cute :D

  • wow.. the floor is slippery. the zebra finch seems to be doing splits everywhere XD

  • BWAHAHAHHAAHAHA,

    your rite!-thats funny:P

  • budgies start to get annoying, once they start doing digusting retarded things like that.

  • A ZEBRA FINCH!!!! WE HAD A DADDY ONE IT DIED I CRIED AND YEAH Joey is the name of him and yeah its not A STUPID BIRD!! and he had five babies but one died, it was soo small and had poo bird seed on its butt! poor guy and this little son of his looks like him and his name is Ducky they're still alive!!

  • that budgie is a bully! Lol

  • Hahaha, that is too cute and funny

  • Your budgie sure is horny! haha!

Why do you call him stupid, though? Maybe because all us males get stupid when we follow our "little head?"

    Dan

  • believe it or not its a term of affection. i used to call my budgie "stupidness" and "turdy birdy"

  • I tell you, I wouldn't put a hookbill in with a soft bill. They can deliver up a nasty bite, those parakeets.

Happy to hear about the 17 year old finch--I knew one that made it to 10.

  • Your budgie looks like mine. =)

  • Yeah, the finch must be annoyed :D. What's its name (from your zebrafinch).

Check out my video (three female finches that play all the time)!!

  • well, supposing the budgie is male, that means you're dealing with two males, and i doubt they're 'playing,' the finch is being harassed.

  • szegényke, nem elég, hogy itt terrorizálják, még a padló is csúszik :D tündériek :) Nekem is van 3 zebrám :)

  • Nice birds. I am going to be getting budgies and a finch in the summer.

  • I'll try and put him up on youtube.

  • Ok :) I'm so curious. I just love finches! But never heard of one living this age. Hmmm 17 years is the record... Than suppose yours is one of the oldest. :)

  • It would be hard to estimate how old Laurel would be in human terms; but probably in excess of 100.

  • In the wild finches on average live only two months, only the strongest survive

  • 14 years old finch?? WOW!! Now how much is that supposed to be, measured on human scale? Congrats for your little bird!! Never heard of a finch living so long.

  • Thanks. His name is Laurel, and he enjoyed his evening supper a couple hours ago. He's old and pretty slow, but still gets up and flutterrs, beeps, and enjoys my company.

The oldest Zebra Finch on record was said to be 17.

  • 9 years is pretty old for a finch, but no record. I have a gray male Zebra finch that is 14 years old, and he might truly be a record. He outlived is wife, and all five children--including his 10 yr old son.

  • cute my brother used to have 2 zebra finches while i only had one budgie my budgie was best mates with the finches but when the finches died my budgie was really upset so i got him a girlfriend now hes happy again

  • Cute

  • Your budgie is a bit of a perv but they are so funny. I didn't think you could mix the birds like that because budgies are bigger etc. but they seem happy enough!

  • there both males..lol

  • i wonder if the zebrafinch hurted the bugies feeling when he dident want to ''make love''

  • what is your zebra finch's name? its very patient to put up with your psycho keet. they all try to make love to everything, toys, fingers, other species birds, etc. cute pair.

  • i know its just fun and games, but the finch looks kinda trapped by the budgie...in a way

  • lol hate to tell you but i breed budgies and your budgie is displaying in a " i want to make love to you" kinda way, lol

  • Yes I know. Sometimes he "makes love" with a green laundry clip (his favorite toy), making such a noise that can be really hard to stand. :) He's a pervert! LOL

  • are the finch's wings clipped? if i let mine out they would fly all over the place. i like yours...looks alomst exactly like my male. :)

  • No they are not clipped. He's just too lazy to fly away or whatever :). He grew up free in our house and can fly anywhere he wants (in the house of course). Now he is 8 years old. :)

  • hey i also have a male with exactly the same colors! check out my videos to see how cliped are his wings. jejejeje

  • ahhah zebrafinch = pwnt :P

  • this is awesome, they r playing together so cute, and budgie looks harmless to little finch.

  • Yapp... The budgie just loves his little mate! :)

  • wonder if ur budgie is related to mine... my budgie has never been nice to my finches but he sure likes my quail!

  • Thanks!

  • Is it ok to house a Budgie and a Zebra Finch together?Because i have a Budgie and I'm thinking of getting a Zebra Finch because of their singing. Thanks.

  • There's no problem. I'm not an expert, but I had a pair of finches and a budgie. There was no problem at all, they get use to each other wery fast. Yet when I had a pair of finches they were linving in a different cage. Now as the female finch died, the little male was left without his "wife". So now he lives together in the same cage with my budgie. And as I said they are bound together wery tightly. Of course it's good to ask an expert's opinion, but I think there will be no problem.

  • i love finches

  • They are really cute i used to have 3 budgies one of them sounded just like yours.

  • It's so good to see them together like this, considering that they are completely different species. The little guy is tight to his "bigger brother" too. And they live together under one roof. But this budgie is a phenomenon...:) I love him! Gives a colourful atmosphere to my home.

  • I think thats great that they get along so well

together. My brother used to have a budgie and a

canary that lived under the same roof, they got

along really well. Birds always brighten up your

    home, they are great! :)

  • Yapp they can always make you smile! This little finch had 3 "wives" but he overlived them all. Now he is approx 8,5-9 years old (that means an 110 years old man :). Let's hope he'll be a record breaker :D.

  • Well I hope so, that little guy has sure lived a

long life...a very eventful one too im guessing!:>
