Help pls! When i'm playing gta iv i have 30-40fps and after few minutes i have 1-2fps and i can't exit game because menu is slowe too. My computer: AMD Athlon 4200+ 2,20GHz, gf8800gs and 2gb ram. And it's happening everytime. Can someone help me please? Maybe someone have answer? I have newest patch and drivers :/ . Pls help :(

Some thing must be getting hot or gta is being the hog that it is. Even on my rig it can get slow and I got a 9800gt 1gb. :s

if you have a dual core, even if u use a GTX 280 card, if u have a dual core CPU the game will lag because GTA IV is processor intensive game not GPU lintensive like crysis! u need a Q6600 at least !! the card you are using is fine for GTA 4 though

I've got almost the same video card as you (except than mine is XFX), and overclocked to that settings too. But GTA 4 doesn't run smooth. Could you tell me the in-game settings you use to get GTA 4 smooth?

I have a dualcore procesor E2160 O.C. to 3.0GHZ wtih Arctic Coolin Freezer 7PRo, motherboard Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H with ultimate bios upgrade,3GB DDR2 Kingston,Gainward 8800GS overclocked with rivatuner and with STOCk cooler,Mercury 450watt power suply,160GB HDD SATA.... and the game run smooth with this setting's no lag...try the latest patch in GTA4 and you got more fps in game :-) sorry for bad english

E2160 overclocked to 3.0ghz and when fraps is on i got 21fps

when is off i got min 24fps and max ~38fps and with the new patch i got more fps ~44

You need more ram and a better processor. Sorry, but 1gb ram can't cut it with todays games. GTA Iv is also very cpu intensive so a 2ghz, even though it meets the minimum requirements will not provide a happy experience. Sorry for putting it so bluntly.

yes!!! i got more core,shader and memory with stock cooler watch my video's core:700MHZ

memory:2000MHZ

You overclocked this card to 680mhz core, 1700mhz shader, and 980 memory with just the stock cooler? I'm not sure if that's actually possible...
