Well thank you. But I don't have your tools on my JCE editor for making so easy links. May-be you could tell us where to get them and how they are called?
@Nfanfou You need the Image Manager Extended plugin, which is only available to JCE subscribers. It's only $20/year for access to all the commercial JCE plugins. Once you install it, be sure to add it to your Current Editor Layout toolbar in Components > JCE Administration > Profiles > open your active Profile > Features. Then set the parameters in Plugin Parameters > Image Manager Extended.
@khadijaq I assume you mean the website template header background and logo? Let me know if you're referring to some other images. Depending on the template you are using, this probably isn't possible with JCE. JCE only has access to the /images directory on your server (unless you configure it for root access). The template background header and logo are in template/yourselectedtemplate/images/xxx (varies depending on your template).
i have a recent problem running....somehow my images are not showing up in frontend. it was ok, before but when i added k2 probably, the problem arised....i even disabled it, but still not working. I have joomla 1.5. So when I add an image in the aritcle manager it shows but not displayed on the front end... the text do display though....tried different options.....do anybody know what to do?
@cripplednoises1 - Lately several of my Joomla website have been doing the same thing. It might be related to the JCE setting for absolute or relative URLs. Go to Components > JCE Administration > Groups and open the group you are using. On the Editor Parameters tab look down in the Editor Options section for Relative URLs. Set it to No. Then you have to open the article where the image link is and resave it to update the URL to the image. Let me know if that works for you, Richard
Any chance of tutorial on creating and editing tables with JCE. I find this tables very confusing in JCE. My solution is copying basic table code to dreamweaver then reinserting as my solution.
@spk0915 Actually I do the same thing: set up my tables in Dreamweaver then copy and paste the code into JCE. That seemed easier to me since I'm already familiar with Dreamweaver. So I never bothered to learn how to use the JCE tables. JCE has released version 2.0.x which is a fairly major upgrade from what I used on these tutorials (1.5.7.x). I'll have to do them all over again with the new version, and I'll make a point to cover tables.
Thank you! It's gratifying that my training videos have been helpful. Please let me know if there are other Joomla-related training topics you would like to see.
Thank you for your three-set video on using the JME editor for Joomla. I found them very helpful, to-the-point, and a great resource for someone who is starting out a Joomla website.
