@240impala You must not have read the description. There is no winch cable. It is synthetic rope.

@Agreen248 you may not need a cable arrest on synthetic winch line but you still don't want to be walking around it well actively pulling the line in... it won't take a limb off but it can leave a good gash or a nice welt

That was my bad. It is an XRC8. My last was a Ramsey.

It looks like you have a XRC8. The REP 8000 is a Ramsey winch. The remote and the fairlead are Smittybilt.

I got a Smittybilt XRC10, its good to know the Smittybilt is a good winch.
