smg was one of my favs in halo 3, not like you use it tho.

Try sometime just use one at a time in FFA type games, the speed that you reload one in paired with the melee speed and decent damage really helps.

They do the same damage on any part of the body regardless of whether the person has shields or not if the weapon being used is not the BR, the Carbine, the Magnum or Sniper and Beam Rifles. Who told you that the SMG did more damage on the head?
