I wouldnt want my kids to attend classes at a school that receives lower scores either, who would? There was a written response from this freak some place online that described contacting a public official as "harrassment". I'm sorry, but if you are a public official you are supposed to be serving the public. In a free democracy, communicating with officials, particularly elected officials, is never harassment.
This lady clearly doesn't have the temperament to be a teacher and deeply misunderstands her role and her husband's role as a public servant.

Actually, doof, a superintendent is not a public elected official. Also, a superintendent's wife is not a public figure. Finally, a superintendent is not a teacher. I agree the woman should never have called back or left a message, BUT let's get the facts straight. Also think about how you would feel getting the phone call from the kid at your private residence. Try empathy.

Superintendents are elected officials in many jurisdictions. In Fairfax, the school board is elected, although nothing online about the sup.
Public servants taking care of thousands of students should expect to hear from one of their constituents. Maybe even welcome the opportunity.

You are mistaken, my friend. The information we have here does not show us that the woman is a teacher. While I agree that, as a public servant, the superintendent has a responsibility to the constituency, calling someone at home, implying that they are failing to do their job, and, if I'm reading between the lines correctly, being VERY rude, does, in fact, count as harassment. Frankly, kids need to get over themselves.

This woman needs to understand that a kid is a kid. How would everyone feel if they were in his position and had to endure a large amount of an unexpected snow fall and not have school called off, even if it was the first time a serious snow emergency had occured. Besides the fact of her not being an actual representation of the school, this bitch was rude and very over the top nasty. She had no place in telling a student whats what. What a cunt.

I saw on the news that some of the boundaries are being changed for some of the FCPS and wondered if thats the meetings she is referring to. I wouldnt want my kids to attend classes at a school that receives lower scores either, who would? Is the parents objecting to the boundary change the reason she calles the students "snotty-nosed little brats"? I wondered why she included all the other FCPS students, maybe thats why!

My problem with this is she is the adult in this situation and she should know how to act. She was STUPID enough to allow herself to be recorded, when what she SHOULD have done was wait until she had the parents on the phone. Or even better let her husband handle it because this is what he does. Ultimately, she may have jeopardized her husband's job with this reponse. The kid's an ass but she was stupid.

BUT where does she get off calling students "snot nosed brats"? She's an adult, a wife of the school administrator. A REPRESENTATIVE of how adults should act and she says this? She was once a "snot nosed little brat" herself. I am very surprised to hear that from an ADULT. Now, the boy did do wrong in calling, but did she had to blow her top? No, she could have handled it in a more calm fashion. I understand that she may be stressed and it's early in the morning, but that's no excuse.
