I know you made this cake a long time ago but I was wondering how you glued the image onto the fondant. I had to buy a sugar sheet with an image copied onto it with a copying machine. If there is another way to get images onto fondant PLEASE tell me how.
Thank you! Yes, you're right. A VERY long time ago. LOL! I've been debating whether or not to remove the video from youtube since it's hardly gotten any views... LOL! The image is glued with edible glue which is just a mixture of tylose powder and warm water. If you're gluing it on a flat tier, you don't even need anything. You can just lay it on top and it'll stick on its own.
@laurapoopie .......nooooooooooo don't delete it Laura! There are a lot of viewers out there who will sooner or later find this video and say..."this is what i was looking for!!" Just keep it here!! :o)
Which air brush machine did you use? and the brand of coloring? btw can you show us to how to use it with the metalic color? do u need to disolve it with alcohol too??
Hi Raphael, Thank you! I use a very old cheap air brush my Dad gave me. He just had it sitting in his shop. Don't even know the brand. The airbrush color on this cake is Americolor, gold sheen that is. No need to dissolve. Straight from the bottle. :) Glad you liked it! :)
Hi Laura! twilight saga inspired now volturi crest..whats next ?! hmm I know Wolfpack XD ..ok being silly now talking like a teenager...seriously..this is nice.very neatly done :D
Thank you so much! You're right! I can't believe I've made 2 of these in such a short time. I guess tons of people are fans of the saga huh? LOL! I'm sure I'll be doing many more in the months to come, hopefully! :) Glad you liked it girl! :)
Hi Laura! what kind of fondant do you use? I wonder how you cover your cakes that they come out smooth and flawless! maybe you can post a tutorial????
thanks for the tips you share, I'm still scared to try covering a cake with fondant...still doing buttercream..Thanks for the inspiration!
So So nice! Thanks for the tip about the emery board - sometimes it's the simplest things that we don't think of ourselves. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming!
Thank you! :) I learned the little emory board trick from my Dad when we used to have a frame shop about 15 yrs. ago. Any time there was a little something sticking up out of something, we'd pull out the emory board! LOL! :) Glad you liked it girl! :)
