The last Telethon in NZ was in 1990 that's if you don't count the one on TV3 last year and the one TV3 did in 1993

The country seemed to have a love affair with Leeza following this Telethon which was returned in favour when she came back to NZ the following year to make a documentary higholighting all the touristy stuff.
