i didnt find humar at all even allthough i hugged the mountain for cata like you said,so i ventured to his old place and he wasnt there either so i walked around and FOUND a rare raptor named "King Death Reaper" or something like that so i may not have a rare well known lion but a rare unknown raptor! :D, (btw im only blizzlike private server oatch 4.0.6)

I saw Humar and began to tame him and right after I started, I realized I still had my pet out. So all I did was end up killing him and now I have to wait for the long respawn. ):

But on the bright side, he does award 2K exp upon death! :D

i tamed humar when i was lvl 25ish and i still have him and hes awesome. i also tamed pitch from sholozar and they have exactly the same stats.

@lPlay no u can only tame beasts and also u can't tame some other specials beasts unless u have the talents of beast mastery to 51 points which requires level 61 but most beasts u can tame after level ten u can't tame dragons or weird stuff though

he is a rare but rare monsters do not need extra health to be rare, rare elites are the ones with extra health and the way to tell the difference is by looking for wings on the silver dragon, if there's no wings, hes just rare. if there is silver wings however, then he's a rare elite and doesn't spawn very often. my favorite to kill is the one in the shimmering flats but he has a spawn time of 20-36 hours. he drops the sword of the basilisk which drops about 75% of the time, decent money

Uhm..this pet is not rare..yes it has the silver dragon around it's portrait, however this lion can be found AT LEAST 5 times per day in this spot. I see him every time I ride past, and with Pitch in Sholasar Basin, this black lion is everything but rare.

@Bastarden the silver dragon means rare get yer facts sorted before commenting and yes i'm aware of Pitch, he hasn't got a silver dragon in his name so therefore he is not rare.

First of all Pitch is not the same type of pet.

Second you will not get the same ability's using pitch over Humar.

I love Humar mine is currently level 80.

I just found him while finishing up the barrens. I noticed Swiftmane was running about and scurried off to Humar's location. To my suprise nobody was there, so I got rid of Squishme (my sub. pet), layed down the frost trap, and now he's my pet.

Decent vid, but you say that Prowl is useless and you turn it off. Actually, Prowl is very useful since when attacking from stealth your pet will do extra damage. Additionally, since you are a NELF both you and your pet can stealth together, also very useful in PvP.

its a guide what gets you to lvl 80 in 7-8 days of 4 hours playing it it cost 90 us dollars itz the best one yet they have a free trial for it to if you want it type in zygors guide you can get a trial to get you to lvl 13 but i just realised you use quest helper i think.

There is a non-elite black male lion in Sholazar Basin thats always there but not nearly as cool as having the elite one..lol

maybe your to high a level, on the minimap, there should be a button tht has a bunch of stuff to look for (like mailboxes) click low level quests, then it should appear, and you can tame echeyackee as a pet, i have it as a pet

yes u can get it from any SM. but i would reccommend having 1 of each spec and keeping tht pet because u will want the talent points ur pet gets for lvling. they d not transfer so be careful
