Switched up my spec for this to include Improved Counterspell 2/2, Invocation 2/2, and Incanter's Absorption 2/2 (patch 4.0.3). Dropped Arcane Flows, Nether Vortex, and lol-Improved-Arcane-Explosion to free up the points.
I put up mana shield, put up Mage Ward, Slowed him, and then let him cast Pyroblast at me (which was absorbed), immediately followed with Arcane Barrage, then Counterspelled his next cast. Blink-and-run, mirror images, burn.
