went snowboarding for the first time yesterday... almost died like 5 times. this looks like so much fun, i hope i get to run something like this someday
Great video. Because of your video I was inspired to step it up a notch, went with CPG on the cat yesterday. I am a local here in Alaska, ride Alyeska 50-60 days/season. 18" of fluff on top of 2ft of heavier fresh. It was F-ing INCREDIBLE, well worth the $325.
I loved the upper alpine, didn't like the trees, too tight in the fluffy. I was probably the least skilled person on the cat and I was still able to do it. The guides and staff at CPG were great.
Hi, Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you took the plunge and decided to spend the day with CPG. The day we spent with them is one of the best days on the mountain we've ever had.
In a few days, we're headed to Whistler for some snowcat and heli snowboarding. We're taking one day off to go to the Olympics. Can't wait, and thanks again for the comments.
Man, I wish I lived where I could do that shit. I love snowboarding too much for the concrete snow I ride practically all season. Those few days a year when there's pow, though... The best. Nice video, looks like a helluva time.
Great vid, it is my #1 favorite on YouTube. I ride Alyeska all the time but your video seals the deal for me on doing a trip with CPG. To make it even better they have a special deal on Tues. and Thurs. for the rest of the season. Since last weekend we have got over 40 inches of fresh at Girdwood. GLORY!
oh man this is a great video!! like it shows exactly what to expect while snow boarding. if only you showed some of your foot movement, but still, i loved it. i love snowboarding, it's one of the best feelings you can get.
Man I need to learn how to turn and stuff because I just bullet down and it's not because I I want to, but because I don't know how to. haha But yeah, I live in Anch. and I've never really taken advantage of its winters but this really inspires me to want to learn to snowboard more this winter. That's a really nice cam, and really good footage you got there. Thanks for sharing!
Hi. We were in South central Alaska - about 1 hour East of Anchorage. We stayed at the Alyeska resort in the town of Girdwood. This day we took a trip with Chugach Powder Guides in the backcountry on the other side of the mountains from the resort.
Truly badical. I can't get over how cool the music was on that powerdery hill. I was a bit alarmed that a skiier was the leader. I hope to one day to be badder than bad and more radical than radical. Although some dreams are never realized it's better than to not have a dream. - Holy Shredder in Training

Hi, I was using the V.I.O. POV helmet cam. It's a great unit. I've used it for all of our snowboarding videos.

If I paid to do this I would not be crossing over other peoples tracks. To me that would ruin the experience.
