first time listening to this album a few years back and i still remember it, there musical talent was mind blowing and when i die part of the reason i hope there is heaven is so i can see a Beatles concert.
When it comes to Rock n Roll, it Goes the Beatles and then everybody else. Elvis can suck my balls, he was country, not rock, little Richard was more rock than Elvis. The Beatles, then everybody else. the Beatles revolutionized Rock
@AKnightforGod I think you are mistakenly blurring the line between two distinct things: "rock" and "rock and roll." Elvis was rather important in making music more of a pop culture phenomenon. Little Richard helped develop many musical ideas. The point is that all music that happened before this actually contributed to the Beatles' sound, and to deny these artists any musical credit is to be ignorant.
Finally, The Beatles are a rock band, most bands that came before are rock and roll.
@AKnightforGod How, on earth, would there have beeen any present without history, it´s like saying God made everything 4kitsch years allowing no discussion. Why is it that whenever i encounter an opinion like this, I have to react, wheras when there´s something convening me, I don´t? Is it His doing? Lennon´s, I mean :-)
Don't like this mix! This album, and I do mean on the original vinyl, was revolutionary. Why I hate this "remix" or better "demix" is that someone would f--k with the original like they have. Now on this mix those changes really suck. Believe me, I heard this at 13 in 1966 there was nothing that even came close. The sitar, which the Stones use on Paint It Black around the same time was an experiment that IMHO expanded realm of R&R, akin to what synthesizers did when invented years later
@DFaimali wtf are you talking I don't here a remix here. but yet again you heard this album from it's original vinyl version and I guess there must be a discerning difference between that version and this version
@djtforeal Not trying to be negative, but am I imagining that the vocals in the verses of Elinore Rigby are missing? Elnr Rigby picks up the rice in a church where a wedding has been, lives in a dream, Father McKenzie, darning his socks in the night when there;s nobody there, nobody cares, and the rest. Since I can't hear them, I thought it was a remix, sorry if I'm wrong, Maybe I need new speakers LOL

@R11thNov2011 John Lennon said that "Here, There and Everywhere" was his favorite song by Paul. "Eleanor Rigby" is genius. "For No One" is a piece of melodic brilliance. Paul's lead guitar solo on "Taxman" absolutely sizzles! "Got To Get You Into My Life" is about weed. Does it get any better that that? So, what the hell are you referring to?
"nothing and I mean NOTHING , was ever normal for any of us again " - Neil Aspinall
Rubber Soul and Revolver,, when the Beatles transformed from a "pop" group with interchangable bubble gum songs that focused on being singles,, into serious musicians that focused on the albums as a whole experience

Dear Lord, I will trade you Akon, Justin Bieb[censored], Lady Gaga, Rihanna,Britney Spears,Rebecca Black, and the Jonas Brothers for Lennon and Harrison to come back for a week and have a concert with Ringo and Paul just a week of the best band ever for the worst singers of this day and age.
@hunterpeterson81095 not a fair trade you can't trade the worst for the Lennon and Harrison, i would trade even the good artists of today, it would be worth it....
@JoshMufc101 I somewhat agree. Pepper's blew me away when I was a teen, but I've since cooled on it. I do now prefer Revolver, yet Abbey Road remains my all time fave.
@nokturnal5647 i think revolver has got sgt peppers bcuz revolver is just a completely like experimental album and i like this sound, but sgt peppers is amazing
the great thing about the name of this album is how they came up with it. they were drvining around in a car once tihnking of a name and they came up with revolver, because they were goin round and round for ages and like the barrel of a revolver it goes round and round ...
No band will ever reach the musical genius like these guys did.The lyrics, the melodies, the harmonies, the creativity and everything else that entered your collective mind!
Ringo's creative peak from mid 1965 to 1967 across Rubber Soul, Revolver, SPLHCB and Magical Mystery Tour. In that period he was more then just banging the drums, he was creative!
these mutha fukers are untouchable...NO ONE can write so many different styles of music and do it so melodically and memorably. THANK YOU BRIAN EPSTEIN FOR TAKING A BIG CHANCE ON THESE GUYS !
Imagine living in the 60s and listening that album for the first time. First "Taxman". "Oh, how groovy is this". Then when you are waiting a similar tune, you hear "Eleanor". Your are enchanted by the music and lyrics, and then follows "Im only sleeping".You think "What a cool song, and what a great feeling it gives" and then "Love you to". YOur mind is blown. Only by hearing the first four songs. This is what I call a GREAT GREAT album. Every song must be a unique adventure......
@greekLAR Yes it was a " mind blowing" adventure.; I was 16, and life still is. You've described it well. We had never heard sounds, quite like that before;, and then the words.
@greekLAR everybody goes on about Pepper but there has never been a better album than Revolver. The rumour is that the Beatles had just discovered acid when they created Revolver.
@TheMod66 I dont agree with you there ; I have always thought Pepper is better personally. As well, though more of Johns lyrics are influenced by acid on here, 3 of the band had taken acid by August 65, two more than once by then, and John a few times by the time they were recording Rubber Soul in the Autumn of 65
@greekLAR Funny you should say this, but when I got to hear Revolver (UK version as I'm from there) for the first time in 1969, we already had Sgt Pepper since 1967 and so this, as good as it is did not have the impact comparatively, that it might have done if I , like many wasnt so captivated by the magic, majesty and colour of Pepper.
The coolest guys to walk the earth....ever. John is the brains of the group; Paul is the physical being; George is the soul of the band and Ringo is the heart
The Beatles were revolutionary and changed all music as we know it. Thank you Paul, John ,George and Ringo. Music is nothing without The Beatles and never would have been. We owe you the music of the world. R.I.P John Lennon... R.I.P George Harrison. Truly musical geniuses.
