I agree. I have played and beatin both FF6 and FF7. To be completely honest, BOTH are awesome and if they teamed up we'd all die a thousand deaths. XD
Cloud of Darkness is a supreme destructive force that can never die forever as long as there is a balance of light and darkness that can be disrupted, and Kuja can destroy a planet within seconds and does. And then simply moves up to the Crystal, the source of all life, and destroys that too.
I laugh at people who argue over Sephiroth and Kefka when in reality, Ultimecia, Exdeath, Cloud of Darkness, and Kuja are all more powerful than both of them. Ultimecia can keep herself from dying via infinite time loop, Exdeath was functionally immortal since he was never killed, AND CAN SINK ISLANDS WITH EARTHQUAKES GENERATED BY A MERE THOUGHT. And with the Void he can wipe out areas of existence with a thought.
I don't see the point of arguing bout this. They are from two entirely different games and odds are they never will meet (I really don't count Dissidia cause I don't really see how that would fit in the entire storyline of both games). I haven't played FFVI yet (although I want to) but I have played FFVII and from what I know from both, Kefka and Sephiroth are major badasses and it doesn't matter what did they did, but rather what they tried to attempt (I have no idea if that made sense).
@NeoSamuel Only ones who either came CLOSE or actually DID destroy existence were Kuja and Exdeath, Exdeath almost doing such a thing and Kuja succeeding, even if it was merely temporary.
Bah! You only played Kingdom Hearts??? LOL. Wish I played Kingdom Hearts too but I played FF1, FF2, FF3, FF4, FF5, FF6, FF7, FF9, FF10, Dissidia Final Fantasy.
Only completed FF4, FF 10, and Dissidia Final Fantasy. At least try to play those games dude. I say you got balls for posting this up though.
@thegreatbeavers Given how Final fantasy fans tend to spoil the fuck out of everything, I don´t think he really had to play them to know about the villains
While I agree with you, the argument was never really about Sephiroth vs Kefka. It's about FF 1-6 s FF7 and onwards, and generally speaking people will argue for the game they played first. So it really boils down to 'this game makes me nostalgic, so it MUST be the best in the series'. =/
Trust me, when it comes to the FF community there is no argument you are ever going to win.
Finally, someone has enough sense to actually say it out loud. Personally, I'm a Sephiroth Fan. Blame the One Winged Angel theme song. But I still have to say Kefka kicks a lot of ass with his Light of Judgment.
I think we should start a cult of the Supernova of Judgment :P. Just an idea...
ok big diffrence is sephiroth never cared if he won he wants to torment cloud and as for sephiroth vs kefka i like them both they are both my favorite characters but sephiroth is a master of magic of swords and well he can make more of him with jenova cells he cant die and it took a clone of him to stop him kefka is no push over but in a all out fight sephiroth would win but it would be a hell of a fight to watch it would be better than the sephiroth vs cloud where he holds back
P.S. I don't think Sephiroth don't need to prove that he's god.
He is GOD. He can replicate again and never destory. Plus, he has powers from angelic-alien life form.
Kefka did became a God of magic, but he died....mortally. :P His powers transform from the espers. So he's not that powerful. He He was sort of sorcery or something.
Well, they least respersent or ideas from Christianity.
Actually his plan was to become a god by absorbing the lifestream or something like that, and he would've suceeded if Cloud and co. had'nt stopped him.
Kefka on the other hand achieved his goal of becoming a god, but wait? He was defeated even after gain such powers? That's pretty sad.
All I'm saying is that they're too different to compare, one's a psychotic schemer and the other's a cold-blooded warrior. It all about how you like your villains
Kefka, actually, didn't plan or thinking as a God.
He just like to torted people. He changed by a experiment. As the game progress, Kefka turned to a nihistist psyopath.
Sephiroth was narcissist psychotic. After, He realized his origns, he became delusional and snap out. With his superior complex, he thinks he's the savior of his people by killing humans and destorying the planet.
It's so funny when I always read "Kefka became a god, Kefka became a god and Sephiroth didn't" lol.
Even Kefka didn't become a god. A single NPC says "He is like a god." and Kefka himself says "I am all-powerful" and that's about it. Both Sephiroth and Kefka have godly power at the end. To be very powerful an inhuman = godly. Sephiroth is very powerful and inhuman and Kefka is very powerrful and inhuman (well, Kefka is completely human, but he doesn't act like one).
Oh, and by the way - I am a Sephiroth freak and no crappy fanboy so just see what freaks say about Sephiroth and Kefka ---> they say the truth: both are powerful
you have a point.I asked my freind wich would win in a fight, she said they would either die,or fall asleep because of there equal streangth, and for that get bored. So,if they do team up,it would be the end of the world.
Kefka would piss Sephiroth off with his constant complaining. Meanwhile, Sephiroth would piss Kefka off with his constant ranting about Mother. Once they got past that, they would simultaneously use FF7 Meteor (the planet-destroying version) AND Light of Judgement. Both Cloud AND Locke's groups would be knocked out of commission by LoJ, and FF7 Meteor would finish them off relatively soon after.
Um, Light of Judgment destroyed the entire world, it didn't just disable the party. Meteor was good and all, but it took too long to have any effect. Light of Judgment was fast, easy, and was capable of killing millions of people.
If Meteor HAD have hit it would just leave another crater in Midgar
The same as Northern Crater, its how Northern Crater was created, so it wouldn't have ended the world, Sephiroth was then gonna use the Lifestream that was trying to repair the new crater to become a god
Light of Judgment didn't destroy the world. It just devastates. And Kefka didn't destroy the world. It was the goddess cause Kefka moved their statues.
Meteor can injure the planet to it's core where Sephiroth is. By the way, Sephiroth can absorb all life (like Buu or Cell from Dragon Ball), while Kefka only absorbs magical power.
But that's enough, cause both of them are too cool to argue.
1. Devastating doesn't mean that he only destroys land. I've never said that, so just read what I write.
2. Sephiroth can absorb all life. It's a power of JENOVA, that he can absorb life energy of living creatures. That's the way how JENOVA destroys life. Injecting cells with their virus, absorbing the life energy and reunite itself. And Sephiroth can do that as well.
1. That still doesn't mark the fact that Light of Judgment was successfully executed, whereas Meteor was stopped by a character Sephiroth killed in Disc 1.
2. Sephiroth never displayed this, so there is no basis behind it. And if you mention Advent Children, then you're argument is worthless, that movie was worse than VII was.
well, this whole argument has completely defeated the purpose of this video I really don't pay attention to anymore,
and it seems one of the argumentators is a diehard Kefka fanboy/girl.
You can't say someone's arguments are worthless if they are based on facts presented in any canon form. AC = canon. So you can't say anything about Advent Children "just isn't true."
Unless you understand what is and isn't canon, you can't make an argument in a CANON argument.
Actually no. To be honest, Kefka, Sephiroth, and Ultimecia rank as the lowest villains in the FF series. Just, Kefka is better.
Also, AC may have been canon (as well as DoC, and CC) but each of these put in major plot holes, retconned established mythos, or traversed into the ridiculous.
you do realize this is Final Fantasy? More importantly,
FANTASY.
Crisis Core basically clarified Sephiroth's past as a SOLDIER. DoC barely even matters, and AC is a continuation of the story that makes every character EXCEPT SEPHIROTH, look emo.
You want plot holes? Try Twilight Princess, or Sonic 06, or SOTC.
No no no lol. Garland is #2 because he died last in Shade Impulse before Chaos. Dissidia's Villain Rank my style: 1. Chaos - Owner and a God 2. Garland - President 3. Emperor Mateus - Vice President 4. Ultimecia - Secretary 5. Kefka - Treasurer 6. Exdeath - Lackey 1 7. Cloud of Darkness - Lackey 2 8. Jecht - Lackey 3 9. Golbez - Lackey 4 10. Sephiroth - Lackey 5 11. Kuja - Weakest Link
Reason Sephiroth and Golbez ain't at high ranks for, Sephiroth never communicated much and everyone's afraid of him, Golbez is being accused of helping the good guys.
Kuja is sadly last for Ultimecia told the bitter truth to Kuja, and Kuja tried fighting Garland.
Exdeath and Cloud of Darkness are lackeys for Kuja's and Kefka's Plots.
Ultimecia as the lowest? your serious? if she did her time compression past present and future would collapse into one time and destroy everything but her.... idk about you but destroying time and space is bigger and more badass than destroying or "devastating" (=P) the world
1. It doesn't matter. Kefka never destroyed the world, but the goddess. JENOVA and Sephiroth did - of course Sephiroth wasn't successful, but JENOVA was once when she destroyed another planets.
2. It's written in Square's Ultimania, so it IS fact.
And by the way, Sephiroth was never stopped by Aerith. He was too strong for her so he just blocked Holy. It was the planet itself which destroyed meteor. Not Aerith alone.
The planet was being used by Aeris (fuck this Aerith crap. Her name is Aeris) to stop Meteor. She knew that Holy would not be strong enough to stop Meteor, so she let herself die so she could become part of the lifestream, which she learned to control.
FF7-Sephiroth: Pros- Had the most BA spell ever METEOR, and killed a flower girl.
Cons- The flower girls magic stopped his world domination. e_e WTF.
FF8-Ultimecia: Hot, and power over time. Forever young! ...Not much else. xD
FF9-Kuja: Hidden for a bit, but came out of the shadows and kicked ass. But mortality sucks. :/
(Who cares about the rest. xD)
See, they all have something to be proud of. Pick a favorite, and STFU. They're all awesome

Let's step back here...
FF1-Garland: "I WILL KNOCK YOU ALL DOWN!!"
Pure win right there.
FF2-The Emperor: Any man who dresses in gold, and controls a tornado is BA.
FF3-CoD: Hot, naked, and evil.
FF4-Golbez: He almost killed a lady! OH NOES!!
FF5-ExDeath: He killed a lot of people. but he's still a tree. ;)
FF6-Kefka: What's scarier than clowns? Oh right, a clown with the powers of a god. Destroyed a world, blah, killed a lot of people.

Hello. Did you read three comments.
He dosen't prove to be a God.
Look up his name, his personality, his powers?
Jenova:" angelic-alien life form". (jenova means a god (in Bible)).
In Dissida, he was thinks he's know-at-all and a sadist.
He "is" God.

Bah! LOL If Cloud Dies, Sephiroth would be like, " My life sucks now..."
I prefer Sephiroth as a Hero rather than a Villain. If there's a fight I wanna see, it would be Hero Sephiroth vs Evil Sephiroth.
I hate Evil Sephiroth because he killed Aerith.
To be more of an A Hole, ain't Kefka and Sephiroth fights more similar to Freddy vs Jason??? Sad to say but they are so alike...
thegreatbeavers 2 years ago
Who cares if Kefka is a God? He's more demonic.
Many villians achieve but they still lame.
Plus, FFVI storyline shared all the characters, including Kekfa.
Plus, he's isn't oringial. copy-cat from *Joker*.
I have enough of evil clowns in our pop culture.
It's about character which they are memoriable. They are good characters. I agree with the video.
Sephiroth didn't want destory the planet. He was to absorb it to become God. (re-play). He was Jesus-like person. He was pyshcotic.

Sephy also has Supernova, which if he didn't use it from OUTSIDE of the galaxy, would be pretty instantaneous.
attackofthekirby 3 years ago
Yet Locke's entire party, along with several more people, survived the attack, giving them the oppurtunity to counter about a year later.
By which time Meteor could have come and gone.
Therefore, the strategy would be hit them fast and hard first, and while they're recovering, finish them off.
But then again, this is all speculation. Meteor never actually hit at full power in the game, so there's no telling what kind of damage it could do.
Plus these two haven't met... yet. Dissidia!
