My work takes me out of town; so, I'll miss the tour, but my wife and kids will be there (in the front row). Really sorry to miss it. Have a great time.
Sonny will have a small table setup inside the box office and hand out cards 2 1/2 hours before showtime. 2 hours before showtime, Sonny will start calling names. It doesn't matter when you present yourself to get your name in for the drawing. There will be a line but after the line subsides, you can walk up to the table, sign your name, and wait by the curb. Make sure you are personally present for the drawing; friends can't "hold your place. Sonny will draw again. Best of Luck. I won twice!
Odds were about 1 in 7. This was a Monday show. As many other shows are dark on Monday, the crowd semed a bit larger. We tried four times and won twice. There is a guy there, selling newspapers, and he counts the people and gives updates. It's easy to figure your chances right before the drawing. BTW, after the lottery if you do not win, discounts are generally offered by the box office based on availability. Say "hi" to Sonny! And Good Luck. Lottery for WICKED is much harder.
ok couple questions, how many people were there, what day did you go, and for which show? i'm going next week to see rent (flyin in from kansas haha) and i've been told just to get my ticks in ny, so does the lottery have good chances you think?

How do I enter? I'm going to see the show Saturday and when I went last time I saw nothing about the lottery. I'm going to the 2pm show

Also remember, RENT closes September 7th. Crowds are likely to get larger, thus odds going down. But you have to try...NO DAY BUT TODAY.
