Obi: you are right about tec. The only wrong way is if it sounds bad. If it sounds good, it is right. A perfect example is Harpo Marx: self taught, using unconventional fingering. He went to take lessions, and the instructor told him there was nothing he needed to learn because he played great.

Standard EADGBE but this is about a picking technique so it doesn't really matter which notes are played

its not as hard as you think. Get it slow first and work the speed up. The trick is keeping the "feel" slow in your head, so it always seems slow to you even though everyone else thinks its really fast...
