  • All real Rockabilly fans knows that Elvis started it all. Sun Records 1954 Thats all right/Blue moon of kentucky. There is no song before 1954 that can be called Rockabilly even if a lot of Hillbilly singers like Hank Williams was close to the style.

  • Elvis opened the doors for niggers like chuck berry!! If it wasn't for elvis there'd be no rap or rnb shit!! Some people need to do their homework before leaving an opinion!

  • I love everything about Elvis too..but he didn't start Rockabilly..he might have been one of the best at it, but he didn't invent it. I agree with the sexy as hell comment too..Rockabilly chicks are the sexiest girls in the world..

  • As a rockabilly/psychobilly film-maker i've always wanted to make a documentary like this... looks like ya beat me to it and did a great job!

  • Ummm... Elvis didn't start rockabilly..... he made it "mainstream" or "popular" Jusss sayin. I love Elvis, just that, he didn't start rockabilly.

  • @xxPOISONEDcupcakeXX

  • dont worry old guy, rockabilly will NEVER die, im 16 and my greatest love is rockabilly music and cars, it was only 1 and a 1/2 years ago since i first heard of rockabilly, and when i saw the cars and heard the music, i got this awesome fealing innside me!

  • so much bickering and not wun persons has asked were one cud actually watch this movie

  • @jimmyspanner you obviously have no idea what the rock n roll/ rockabilly lifestyle is all about if you think its all about Elvis. Go listen to Elton John if you dont like it!

  • @jimmyspanner Hey asshole WW2 was late 1930's to 1945. Surfboards existed in the 1950's and not much of us give a fuck whether or not surfboards exist now. Smallpox was consistant in Asia during the 1950's. Color TVs did exist in the 1950's. And not all rockabillies listen to Elvis dimwit. Rap and R&B suck. Before you post your stupidity on Youtube do your history.

  • Why did they play Elvis's cover, and not Carl Perkins? Elvis had a few good songs, but he wasn't the best and he didn't start rockabilly. Bill Haley, Chuck Berry where already realeasing songs. Well Roy Brown and Hank Willims really started it.

  • Who sing Play girl?

  • Who cares who started what. The bottom line is ROCKABILLY RULES...OK!

(most of this is filmed at Viva Las Vegas)I've went every year, last year I asked my gal to marry me there, and we're doing it this year at it at the Drive Thru Chapel.

  • Elvis didnt start rockabilly elvis was just a face he was all looks the only thing he contributed was an image dats it .... do ur research and youl see for your self

  • rockabilly started long before elvis. Everything he sang was 10 years old in the African American world. The only reason people think Elvis started it, is because he was the only one who could sell it due to the racial bull crap. Sorry elvis your where as cool in the 50's as you where on that shitter

  • I can't wait for "ViVA" next April in Vegas couldn't go this year but going then!!!!

  • rockabilly music started in 1949, but i dont know who .

  • Well Its Because No One Sang It Like E.P----Check Out Elvis Presley Sunrise Album, All The First Rockabilly Tunes From The King, Thus Showing That Rockabilly Did Truly Come From Him In 1954, Changing The Face Of Music Entirely

  • Its a sick obession...makes ya wanna drink, drive fast, listen to that rocknroll music...gotta love it...muahahha!

and Elvis didn't start rockabilly, he was just a poster boy & smooth voice for a rebelous culture of bored youth being told what to do!!!

Rockabilly Will Never Die...'cause COOL is forever!!!

  • MAn ive gotta go to this, Ive been to hotrod conventions like this, just goold old people drinking beer and rockin good tunes

  • Dedricthere,

Its a huge relief to hear some guys actually find the Rockabilly or vintage looks sexy. Its so hard to dress creatively, daringly or experiment with styles at all without feeling its isn't "sexy" enough or getting beat down by the mainstream ideal of "sexy". As a 17 year old girl whose gone through at least 20-30 style changes and obsessions, currently rockabilly, its comforting to know some guys appreciate the effort.

    Shaye

  • i think its incredibly sexy =]

  • Rockabilly was around way before elvis. why does everyone class elvis as rockabilly. when he didnt really have much to do with it

  • I like both psychobilly and rockabilly. I really love death rock but their is no scene were I live and the goth elitist are a really big turn off. Besides music aspect of surf rock, rockabilly, psychobilly, and gothabilly. Besides a few differences in styles I don't se much difference in music.

  • Elvis made rockabilly mainstream with his cover of "thats alright momma". even though he covered alot of songs it doesnt mean that the original song writer made rockabilly famous. Hes still gonna be the face of rockabilly whether we like it or not, hell i rather have chuck berry as the face of rockabilly, but his sound has a rock and roll feeling. its all the same though theyre all great musicians.

  • Comment removed

  • good video though. ;) nice!

  • i dont believe rockabilly started by elvis..it was chuck berry.

  • wrong it might not be elvis but it sure as hell wasn't chuck berry!

  • well cuz elvis did cover alot of chuck berry songs so that makes chuck berry the 1 who really started chuck berry

  • Comment removed

  • Even fugly rockabilly girls look 100% better just by dressing old school. I wish all girls would still fix themselves up like that, It's sexy as hell.

  • Agreed

  • @dedricthere You know, I ALWAYS think about that, but never say anything!!! But you make such a damn good point!

  • @dedricthere no shit, ive seen fat rockabilly girls that look good just because they dress in rockabilly clothes!

  • cool!

  • This is not about colour whats that got to do with it ?? why judge , music is free expression a creative outlet not a competition on who's darker than who fuck this get real.

  • jtnfrank Carl Perkins came after Elvis as it was Elvis that created the reverb and echo sound slap bass etc in his sun recordings circa 1954 as for Haley he was western swing definetely not rockabilly Vern Pullens,Burnette,Wayne Walker,Sonny Fisher,Gene Wyatt etc that rockabilly the roots go way back to Hank Williams "move it on over" in 1947 and beyond .

  • What's the name of second and third song?

  • elvis didnt start rockabilly it was bill haley and carl perkins elvis just copeid peoples songs

  • this looks like a fun movie.

  • quit bashing the fucking music. real music knows no skin color, which shouldnt even be a factor in the first place. rock n roll is here to stay motherfuckers!

  • Oh come on...

Hip Hop is not music. It's just "I have the longest dick, I've the most money (but nothing left for a belt in my pants), I've the most expensive cars and the most naked whores n hookers in my vids."

They look so ridiculous with a pantyhose on the head...

And the wannabe-gangster-rapper-kids are so stupid, making them richer by buying this shit...

  • 1.50. Whats the name of the song ?

  • playgirl by sophia wolff and the cubs

  • 2:50, Elvis is come back!

  • Rockabilly for ever

  • that he wasnt original, he stole songs

  • Bloodshot's good people - I'll always be a fan... Doc looks good. I be Checkin'er out.

  • eew elvis did not start rockabilly!

  • but everyone loves elvis, wats there not to love

  • I think he was very talented but he stole black music and toned it down and made it more "white" and watered down to make it more acceptable.

  • rebel 4 ever

  • HOOO 2:07... i fall in love...

  • ROCKABILLY WILL NEVER DIE!!!

  • rockabilly <3

  • i dont care for psychobilly that much

    rockabilly is so much better

  • Rockabilly hasn't died,now there is psychobilly. :)

  • ta wena la wea

    salud y rocanrollllllll

  • Cool !!

  • I've just started a one-man rockabilly project (sounds sad, I know). I record each instrument seperatly, then mix them on my computer. I also have put in some different elements into my music that most rockabilly bands I know of don't do: Banjo.

I'll be uploading some songs in a while. If any of you would like some updates, just leave me a message.

  • have to see this movie!!!!!!

  • oh man this video is so good! I´m a guy from Sweden and I love rockabilly style the music everything with it.. where can I get this movie? I can´t find it in piratebay and the movies doesn´t show this... come on tell me!

  • Im barely gonna be 18..for the sake of the generations to come....I WONT LET ROCKABILLY DIE!!! Its my lifestyle and I luv it to the grave and back! I live in SA Texas..as far as i feel...no one here knows what true rockabilly is...its bad enough that where i live we're a rare breed, but come on...geez the HORRORPOPS...STRAY CATS is that all ne1 here knows? A lady cant even get a decent greaser 'round here!! Vegas looks like a swell place for a billy doll! Looks like i might wanna join sometime!

  • Yeah... But at least Ryan Davis and Hairball 8 Records in San Antonio is trying to keep the rockabilly, psychobilly scene alive. Although. If you have the money to travel find more of your scene and you true passion.

  • I don't do the scene because I don't give a shit who's doing what. I'm into the music and the cars. Everything else is irrelevent. And yes, I've known Chris C. at 2:34 since he was 13.

  • definitively, hip hop music is so...pathetic keep on rockin'!!!

  • HELL YEAH

  • WAMMA LAMMA DING DING!!!!! This is awesome!!!

  • Anybody wanna recommend me some good rockabilly? I have heard some of it and I think it sounds pretty cool but I'm not into it enough to know what bands are good so someone wanna give me some suggestions?

  • mm well the polecats, the stray cats lazy ike and the daredevils and obviously elvis just to name a few

  • Marti Brom, Johnny Burnette Trio, Josie Kreuzer, Rosie Flores, Slick Andrews, Art Adams, Big Sandy &; his Fly-Rite Boys, The Stumbleweeds, Janis Martin, Go Cat Go, Dawn Shipley and the SharpShooters, Hank Snow, Collins Kids, Roy Kay Trio, Glen Glenn... these are just a few of many.

  • how can i get this movie or watch it maybe downloaders man i'll love to see it

  • 2.37 - is THAT Eddie Von Bach????

  • Rockabilly is a feeling as well as a categorized artform. Morrissey is a rockabilly, but i ain't never heard him sound rockabilly. The Stray Cats are to blame for my generation ,.... thank you Brian, Jim & lee

  • the most passionate in north america??? i'm certain that title belongs to southern california!!! the rocabilly/greaser lifestyle lives and thrives in so-cal!! get it right people!

  • Whatever anybody said, is goind to say, will say or would say... Rockabilly rules, and thats it.

Chose your lifes and Pick em, but leave the others theirs...

  • Yeahh!!!! WOOFIE'S in this video! woot! hes the guy driving the chop top belair with all the daims riding with him hahah good times good times ahah

  • that stuff it makes me sick this is a shame rockabilly is not that

  • YEAAHHH Rockabilly Rockss

  • If only the girls stopped with the dumb Betty Page bangs and the tats.

  • no way thats the best thing about rockabilly is that look its so hot

  • that is hot as hell. ink and metal! If you don't dig it.. find a asian slut next to a honda civic.

  • Rose Maddox,Hank Williams,Carl Perkins. These cats were the ones that started rockabilly,Elvis just defined it.

  • You're probably right, however I am really surprised majority of the rockabillies I know aren'tbreally interested in THE original 50' dirty rockabilly. I prefer the cats that didn't have hits and publicity, not just because of that but because of the fact that they really sound(ed) better. I collect rare rockabilly and teen sound and man, there are so many unlocked treaseres still around...

  • Don't forget Wanda Jackson!!!!

  • I'm excited to see this now. Too bad I'm not Canadian.

  • R O C K A B I L L Y never dies.

  • if you can read you can see that he said metal pop up in the 80s

  • Hilarious...metal will never die, but rockabilly will? What an idiot. Rockabilly has been around for at least 50 years and metal has been here since when, the 80's!? I love to watch the way people's grossly below average minds work.

  • Wheres this moving picture dvd available.

  • I love the Rockabilly style, music and cars and I know that Elvis wasnt the first.. he made Rock N Roll but not Rockabilly. SWEDEN

SWEDEN SWEDEN SWEDEN The Go Getter FTW

  • Actually Elvis his first recordings were pure rockabilly.

  • sure his first recording was rockabilly, but you can credit him for starting rockabilly... like daughterMYslaughter says... he redefined it

  • you have got it so wrong Elvis did do rockabilly just listern with you ears time to he's sun recordins'. the's twat's piss me offfffffaaahhhhaaaa.

  • Hjalther2 you talk shit.

  • i like rat rods i like old skool choppers i like tattos but i hate rockabill

  • Just wondering, did your mother have any kids that lived? If not for the early Rock and roll and rockabilly there would be NO METAL

  • Metal sucks. ggfsa = go get fucked suck ass

  • metal doesn't suck. rockabilly, psychobilly, rock, metal their all great.

  • There's still many of us rockabillies out there. Just because we arent an overwelming plaque like so many other genre-followers doesnt mean its dead.

Rockabilly will never die, & It will certainly outlive you.

  • you know all these styles have come and gone. the hippies and the discos and the emos. But the 50s always looks sexy & cool. It never dies. I guess it's the attitude of the look.

  • I love rockabilly Im in mexico and its a little bit underground here, if you like ROCKABILLY MUSIC search youtube for the band ( The New Lunatics ) or to the myspace serch for newlunatics, or lunaticsfanclub or to mine kuky_elric

  • if you like REAL ROCKABILLY MUSIC search youtube for the band ( Stressor ) you wont regret it.

  • If you think stressor is "real rockabilly" then you don't know what rockabilly is.

  • Strresor is nice rockabilly ... for a psychobilly band xP. but if you like rockabilly you may like it .

  • weird...been listening to rockabilly for more than 25 years...lived in Montreal 6 years...and the rockabilly scene was tiny...almost inexistant...what we see now is an evolution...just like "we" were an evolution in the early 80's...just shows that this kind of music is here to stay...amen

  • bloodshot bill is beyond rockabilly... he doesn't seem to worry about following the crowd, having the just-right hair, clothes, etc. - he's just a pure rock&roll fireball!!

  • Hmmmm.....I consider myself 'rockabilly', but it never was a subculture 'back in the days'. Rockabilly is music......not tattoos, girls dressed up like Betty Page...fat, baldy dudes with a messed-up hairdo. Play that music HARD, but don`t call it a subculture.....

  • see this is why i like rockabilly. Its one of the only subcultures that hasnt become a distorted joke of itself. Its TRUE ROCK N ROLL at its best and is still has the original spirit of the 50's at its heart!! LONG LIVE ROCKABILLY!

  • HAHA yeah strippers are a big part of rockabilly.......

  • Wow! This documentary looks incredible. Can't wait to see the whole product.

  • what a great scene but it will always serve itself well not to get too big.Funny, when there is a revival everybody exaggerates the image.Girls back then did not look like all the betty page wanna bees today.I cant stop thinking what these girls will look like with all the tattoos when they senior citizens.Forget bettie page.....Check out the Gil Elvgren girl.

  • Rockabilly was good in the 50's but now it's just a bunch of greaser scum and nasty-ass,scuzzy, mulleted troll chicks.Get over it;Your not James Dean or Bettie Boop.

  • We have fun, you post lame insults on websites. You need to pay more attention to your own life and not ours.

  • Rockabilly is still good, but it's being ruined by all these fake bands and people.

  • True..

  • I want to see ALL of that video ! ! Wonderful ! !

  • Bloodshot bill is fuckin awesome!!!!
