  • Nice = ))

  • OUTSTANDING! I would have loved to be either someone in the audience or a band member knowing your kicking ass! Whew!

  • Al can dance!

  • I LOVE this artist!

  • I was there...and it's still the most polished performance I've ever seen. Amazing band. You can still buy the Live in London CD on Amazon..and there was a video released in the States I think.

ONE

  • 5 JB fans

  • It's melody is just great, remembers me the old times :)))

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!! Wish that we'd hear more of this, and less of the crap so-called music nowadays!

  • ca c'est le concert de Londres en 1985 je m'en souviens j'avais 18 ans ....

  • Wonderful lyrics with a strong message...where's writing like this today?

  • ARRRRGH I love this SO MUCH!!!

  • Beautiful music!!!!!!!!

  • Al rocks, especially live! I wish he'd record another live album......

  • THE BEST !!!

  • one of my all-time fave songs. Wish the album version were still on line!

  • it takes courage to wear white pants on stage. Or anywhere

  • If it don't groove it don't prove!

  • This man floats my boat. Johnny Mathis is my very favorite but Al Jarreau comes in a very close second. So glad he decided he needed his music.

  • Ahh so Nice!

  • Premiere performance! Heard this song years ago. All I could remember was the "badabadabadaba daaaa-badaaaa" guitar riffs towards the end of the song.

Could not get them out of my mind. This is how I will remember AJ forever. Thanks for the post.

  • SONO IN PARADISO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I almost agree that "Jarreau" is perfect. The only song I skip is "Not like this". But other than that it's my favorite album of his.

  • не могу его песню мою любимую найти потому что названия не знаю тогда на ауди кассетах его слушала

  • @aleksa4250

да эл наносит, сам люблю его песни)

  • Does anyone out there know if he is still performing? He was hot as a pistol during the 80s, but I haven't heard anything about him for awhile. Information, please!

  • @oldiesfan52 He's still performing. I heard him 2 years ago, but he's either getting old or he had an off night. He's still a great singer, but he had troubles with the more difficult parts of "spain". Love his record's though and even that night he was still a superior singer to most guys and women out there...

  • @guitarsquiddy listen the poor guy is getting old give him a break at least he still performs i love him no matter what!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cherrycakejulie Never said I didin't like him. My entire point was that he's getting old. And I still gave him the benefit of doubt considering that. Everyone has an off day now and then. + I pointed out that even that night he was superior to most singers out there. I really can't see, where I'm viciously attacking him in my comment.

  • I thought I was the only one "over the top" with love for Al Jarreau. My argument still remains that all the good singers in the world put together will still come second place to Al

. What a gift he is to this world and a blessing to the music industry.

  • Hear this one a lot on Wave 94.7 fm and the more I hear it, the more I love it. The beat just makes me happy.

  • A friend gave me a tape of this entire concert;; it was in London in 1984 I think. The tape is fantastic!

  • G R A N D I O S !

    Was für ein Riesensogn!!!!

  • sensational! LOVE IT!!!!

  • I drove far to this song once in the mountains..it was cool. nah all is well

  • Incredible! Love Al, the best vocals of my generation!

  • Al Jarreau....soft beautiful moment.

  • Is that Al Jarreau trying to do the "Moonwalk"?

  • @albaes888 I was wondering the same thing:)

  • One of his greatest. I dig the band that he had back in the day.

  • great song!!

  • so groovy and exuberant! I love this song

  • Songs like long letters! Thanks.

  • Al has been my favourite singer/musician for three decades and he still gives me the thrills when he sings. The world is blessed to have this talent . Keep the faith Al.

  • a little underrated unfortrunately....

  • al is his top...best ever....this concert bring me memories growing uP in RIO...al is the man.

  • call me tryin hard but i always sing along with this tune...awesome tune...miss this era so much

  • this is one of those rare instances where a performer sang the song in a higher key (1/2 step up) from the record

  • damn i love this man!!!!!!!!

  • good song

  • Does anyone know when and where this concert was and where I can obtain a video or DVD of it? An absolutely brilliant sound!!!

  • Might be wrong, but I think this was "Live in London 1982", (about). What I do remember is that I bought it in Dublin in 1984, so about that time. I still have it.

    Good record and good concert.

    Hope it´s useful. Bye

  • Great!

  • or it could also be dave valentine...

  • thats michael paulo on flute and sax!

  • Fabulous band...Al is the man!

  • and Tom Cruise on guitar

  • wow where did he get this band!!!!!!!

  • The whole song grooves, but once the sax comes in... damn, the band kicks it UP!

  • This is so bouncy you just have to smile. :-)

  • All I can say is WOW! This version is even better than the studio version. If I'm not mistaken, that looked liked Nathan East on bass and Ricky Lawson on drums; and the one and only Michael Paulo on sax. What a musical explosion!!!

  • Ricky is the man, he played with all the best Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, just to name a few besides Al Jarreau

  • Wow,,, Sensacional!!!

  • awesome, and what a shit hot band to back him too :)

  • come on top tune!!! bought this on 12" when it first came out..cam,e with a free t-shirt thoses where the days!!!!!!!!!!

  • I freakin' LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Al Jarreau.

His sound first introduced me to jazz on the now defunct WJZZ FM in Detroit. This particular cut is one of my favorites from off the Jarreau lp.

And he still sounds awesome to this day!!

  • I thought I was the only one whoLOVED him with a passion. He is the BEST
