It wasn't that hard. They are not two different creatures. It is just one creature model with two "joined" bodies and two sets of every limb, mouth, and eyes. This is able to be done because in spore it will allow you to make multiple arms, legs, eyes, mouthes, etc. and they will all animate accordingly. It is technically only one creature but still very well done.
