if the air-con and motor noise is heard between sound that u want use something in the music industry called a gate (basically it gets rid of sound below a certain level) look it up some where =)

The EOS 500D is such an awesome camera! I highly reccoment it! Combined with the ultra cheap 50mm f1.8 lens, low light capabilities are miles above "normal" camcorders! Selective focus is such a great thing!

u can make those light stand yourself. get: a microphone stand, a light fixture, and a white umbrella.. figure it out

By the time you did all that, you'd probably spend more then the $50-$60 they cost on ebay. Plus it would look jerry-rigged and would have a difficult time staying together. Even if the ebay kit costed more, it would work better and look more professional.

i have the same samsung but part of the screen is all pixelated whether on tape or when it on camera or vcr does that mean its broken or needs professional cleaning and i used a dv tape cleaner and it didnt help

Well, I use pinnacle studio 12 plus for my editting software, a Aipteck HD 1080P camcorder, and a shotgun mic I got off ebay.

They are really good, but they aren't exactly cheap. Its about the cheapest you can go for good quality, good editting, and good sound.

For extra camera smoothness go to Lowes and purchase equiptment to build a camera dolly, its only around 15 dollars worth of stuff.

i run like 30 feet of extension cord (gold plated) from my microphone through my boom pole into my camera. Ur saying that there is frequency and the timing will be off?

Timing shouldn't be off but you may encounter some hum or interference. It's not guaranteed, and if you aren't, that's great.  Most of the time 3.5mm extensions produce a lower quality sound. That's why professional cameras use XLR.

Hi, Good advice. I thought that the PS1 was output only. Did you have to buy a special cable or adaptor to make it work as a monitor?

The psone LCD screen has a standard 3.5mm video input. All you need is a camcorder a/v cable that goes from 3.5mm to RCA and you can plug in anything with a video output. Check out my jib/crane vid to see how it can be hooked up.
