@brudel001 I love the veyron for what it is. It's a beautiful, well engineered machine. Same with the aero. Only problem, the aero is really limited to where it can run. It doesn't have an 11 mile test oval at it's disposal. There are videos of the aero running a 1/4 mile. I believe, that if the aero can run 256 in 2 miles and still not red-line, but has to shut it down due to not enough road, it can beat the veyron ss.

Until proven the SSC (or Koenigsegg, Saleen or whatever tuner) can only stake claims on paper.

Here's the reality. Whereas Bugatti has sold 300 Veyrons to the rich and famous, almost nobody has bought a SSC. Makes sense really. Would you buy a souped up kit-car from a microcompany with limited resources and an incredibly tacky sounding name (ShelbySuperCar Ultimate Aero Twin Turbo) or a car using the best materials and which has a heritage name?

Considering how many veyron videos are out there - racing, drag racing, general reviews and testing etc. But even after all these years theres no independant aero videos then that makes me think that people who have been actually stupid enough to buy the aero are bound with some contract that they are not allowed to give the car for any testing, make any compare videos etc. Reason is simple - its a piece of shit.

I can't believe there are still people out there mentioning that souped-up kitcar, when Bugatti has sold 300 Veyrons worldwide and only stopped making them to remain exclusive and "rare".

Anybody can build a fast car using old techniques and using some insanely tuned engine (read reliability and longetivity problems), but Bugatti managed to make one which is reliable,rock stable and safe at its top speed,and can be taken there by normal drivers
