well when I saw pantera live in 2001 in Adelaide, Australia they were awsome & phil was awsome & looking back on it, it was the best metal show ive seen in my whole life & the last pantera album was as good as all of them, remember every album was different in its own way & I think that if they did another album it would have been amazing in my opinion.

No, Vinnie Paul was the reason Pantera broke up. Him and Dimebag cracked the sads because Phil and Rex went off to do side projects, and because the Abbotts had everything handed to them their whole lives, they couldn't handle the fact that Phil wanted to do something other than cookie cutter fad metal.

The drug can turn anyone into a demon, especially, if everybody is expecting that you get rid of your addiction quickly.....there for sure was a lot of pressure on everybody, the show had to go on, there were contracts to be fulfilled, bills to be paid, etc....pressure on the job and back pain get along like a house on fire....
I believe he was possessed, he was heavy into the occult. During some performances you can see him with this crazy look in his eyes. If you check out superjoint when they played fort worth texas you can see what I'm talking about. Just my opinion.

Without pain meds I would be up shit creek but I will never go to hard drugs because it can affect your judgement too much like it did to Phil. Anyway, Pantera ruled!!

I just saw Down in Milwaukee, and he did that little short bit at the end of the show. I also snagged 2 REX MUTHAFKN BROWN picks that rex thru out to the crowd. This is the second time i've seen them play, and both times i was front and F*CKING CENTER. So brutal...
i dont entirely agree with that, pantera needed a new edge, and phil was it, he brought the energy, but not the music, he didnt rite the guitar parts, so how can he be better than darrell, they are all equal in their own way, and i cant beleive u guys are actually saying this right now about dimebag
