i love my linn system i listen to it every day and buy new vinyl and cds all the time i never get tired of listening to it unlike all the other expensive kit i have owned, enough said
kingofpunk is deaf, the Dual turntable is great for the money, but the Linn is in another league. However I will say that all Linn products are overpriced, so buy used gear!
Linn is overated rubbish . The LP12 was bloated in sound (my Dual 505 was better 1988)when I auditioned it & their sound at exhibitions is DISTORTED. Fact!
I am hardly gonna buy it if Linn themselves dem it at exhibitions with distorted sound quality & why do you always see too many LP12s going second hand? Who cares about awards Gywneth Paltrow wins awards. I check things out with my own ears (Hi-Fi mags are a guide NOT gospel)
I agree, mags are only a guide. But, I am not going by mags. We used to have one. There is no point in going round on every LP12 vid, and using virtually the same comment every time. Troll.
You used to have one? Why get rid of it? I still use a Gyrodec that was made in 1988 , bought 2nd hd 2000 other than the odd service cartridge replacement belt change every 2 years & forget the space age looks sonically it cuts it. My last deck was a Roksan but it let me down. The reason I am slating Linn is , it is a myth that the deck is the best turntable in the world , a Rega is better (cleaner/superb timimg)& I want people to know this & to use their ears & not be blighted by propaganda

And did you own any Linn equipment in the past? Is that why Linn's LP12 is still winning awards to this day?
