To define an Assult Rifle, above all else, it WILL be fully automatic. When you pull and hold the trigger down, the weapon will continue to fire, automatically chamber another cartridge and fire again and again until the trigger is either released or the supply of ammo runs out. Assult Rifles are rarely found in a gunshop, opposite of what and the media would have you think.

I don't know how much time you spend around AR15s, but they are not fully automatic. An AR15 is NOT a assault weapon because it lacks the fully automatic fire. Well regulated means the gov interfering with a constitutional right. The gov ruins everything they ever touch, look at the Middle East. The M16/M4 is whats used by the military. The main difference between the AR15 and M4/M16 is that the AR15 is not able to be placed on 3-round burst. The AR15s you see in gun stores are only semi-automatic and do not fire automatic. You can buy fully automatic weapons but its a long process to get a license and they cost from 15,000-20,000 dollars.
