  • Hey I have a questions, in system, there is a part that says a lot of manufacturer, rams, cpu and graphics, with driver 192.sth from the OS X disk it says i have 256 MB, but when i update to the newer drivers, it says 224MB! why does it go down? any clue?

  • So with the newest nVidia drivers you only do the overclocking step? No downloading from laptopvideo2go or messing with the inf?

  • @Naatan85 Yes, just download the newest drivers and overclock. I will do an update to this video soon! Hope this helps

  • I am runnin this on windows, not on a OSX, will I still be able to do the same things as you tell me to do? and is it important for me to download the modded drivers? an answer would be much appreciated.

  • @ShoopdaWoop265 What do you mean? I also run this on Windows! No, you no longer don't have to donwload the modded .inf. I use the newest NVidia drivers for my overclocking

  • @DWizard07 sorry, I forgot to ask if I needed to download Windows Bootcamp? Even if I'm on windows already

  • @ShoopdaWoop265 No, you don't. Just follow the tutorial! Hope this helps =)

  • Will this overheat my computer?

  • @AmateurDrumCovers Nope, all the settings are tested by me!

  • i had to overclock my macbook pro to run battlefield 3 beta.. running at 675/1066/1485 it runs smoothly on low at 800x600 (lols) but considering its a game meant to push pc's and im on a 2010 macbook.. im bloody happy

  • @woolensheep192 Damn it....you are not giving me much hope :( Well, I'll try it out and make a video...if it is even possible to run fraps and battlefield 3 at the same time =D

  • @woolensheep192 Actually I also have a 2010 Macbook pro! Im running it pretty smooth with 290.53 nvidia drivers! the whql were pretty laggy though!

  • @sepehrseb yea the full game runs better than the beta, i got it up to native res smoothly

  • @ampzz525 Favorited this shit.

  • this is pretty much useless now. it's the same shit ass getting the official ones at nvidia website..

  • One more thing: it's a good idea to maintain your core-to-memory ratio. I found this out when going from 650/900/1430 to 675/900/1485 and I saw almost no change in performance. Then I unlocked the memory clock and set it to 675/1066/1485 and I saw a huge performance boost. The problem was that, even though you can maintain your core-to-shader ratio, if you don't maintain your core-to-memory ratio the memory clock will hold everything back. For the 330m gt the ratio is about 1.58.

  • I'm running 675/1066/1485 and it's stable, the trick is to get smcFanControl for the mac side of the partition, start that running your fans on MAX speed, then restart the computer into the windows side. It WILL maintain the fan speed even through the restart. It's not very difficult, and only takes a minute, but it stops the computer from overheating and forcing the gpu into safe mode, which it WILL do if you let the fans spin up normally.

  • I have the exact same problem as @xTvdM .. any solutions??

  • hey if i just have the plain 15" mac pro with the i5 in it should i be worried about playing this game? and overclock my computer?

  • @DWizard07 Hey man, I got everything working. But when I click on ''Apply Clocks & Voltages'' It goes back to the orginal clocks... Please help!!

  • I put the modded INF into the "display. driver" folder. Can someone please tell me if this is the correct folder? Thanks.

  • hi i have the same probleme like jdmartin211 if someone could help us please

  • so what nvidia driver do you use now? the WHQL Official release?

  • When I try to up the memory clock [which defaults at 790mhz] the max it can go to is 948, not 1430 as you suggested. My shader clock defaults at 1100 mhz, so why should i underclock it to 900? my gpu defaults at 500 mhz so i can understand your suggested increase to 650. Any thoughts, ideas? I have a 2010 15inch i5 proc macbook pro with the 330 m.

  • @jdmartin211 At the top of NVIDIA Inspector (Overclocking) click "Unlock Max".

  • @pianokid54 nvm, thanks.

  • @jdmartin211

ya, I was wondering about the same thing. Can someone please help?

  • Overclocked it to 675, 1100 and 1450. Got 8649 on 3dmark06!

  • @UnicornSlaya Really? Is it stable? I'll have to try these clocks myself! Thanks!

  • @DWizard07 I actually tried doing these this again because I've been using them for quite some time, but it crashed once.

  • @UnicornSlaya That's a bit high, but whatever floats your boat..

  • I can se on the laptopvideo2go, that there is newer versions than the 259.47 ...

Shall i still go with the 259.47 or 267.26 (newest) ?

    thanks in advance..

  • @dagmarthomine I'd use the new ones. I will be switching to them as well

  • @DWizard07 I am totaly new at this! Ive had computers all my life but never done any overclocking!

And you are sure that my 3000 dollar Macbook Pro doesn't get damaged? :-/

  • @dagmarthomine Well, mine and the other overclocked MBPs seem to be working =)

  • @DWizard07 hmm cant download the INF file for the newest drivers .. the closest i get i the 267.24 version..

If it goes wrong, then i can always go back to the normal (original) video drivers and then everything is okay again?

  • @dagmarthomine Yep, definitely!

  • @DWizard07 okey.. just installed the drivers... But cant find the Nvidia Inspector?

  • @dagmarthomine ups! forget it :)

  • what de background music?

  • @mrvictordesing Hey, that's a short song I made in Garage Band=D

  • @DWizard07 thank`s.... iam searching for this on garage band....Thanks again

  • @DWizard07 No you didn't you liar I hear everybody with this song.

  • @iDontKno247 YEAH, because it is free in Garage Band! Stop trolling and chill!

  • @DWizard07 Exactly, you didn't make it. and im not trolling I just don't like it when people don't give credit.

  • @iDontKno247 I didn't? I'd say that when you take random music tracks, put them together in a way that actually makes sense then that is making music.

  • @DWizard07 ima buy a new MBP this summer =D

  • Hey I got the exactly same MacBook that you have but...

i don't quite understand copy/paste the .inf file in the drivers folder and install the drivers part;; what does it mean?

also, which clocks does each number represent? (650, 1430, 900)

    Thx for the tutorial!

  • @WonderfulToti You download the .inf file from the site...you then copy it into the drivers folder, that you downloaded from the same place...and you install them after that. The order of the clocks: GPU Clock, Memory Clock and Shader Clock...hope this helps!

  • @DWizard07 Thanks so much!

  • i just need to install windows, and then wait for assassins creed brotherhood to run nice ^^

    thanks :D

  • Hey, dude! Thanks a lot for you tip!! After overclocking my macbook swowed much better results in gta 4 , everything except shadows on medium and 1440*900 res. With this options inbuilt benchmark showes 30 fps in average, while before overclocking i had the same result in 1280*800 resolution and low textures!! Oh and what is more the temps left the same about 73*C ! Thanks again!!!

  • @Ruffryda93 Hey, so glad that this helped! I myself was surprised that the temperature stayed the same but the performance skyrocketed up! Hope you have an even better gaming experience now and take care!

  • @DWizard07 what do you mean by "its safe as long you use the same settings"..?? And can it be overclocked for any duration of time without any damage, or only for an hour or so?

  • thanks a lot men:D

    it helped me a ton

  • how much temperature are you getting when running some latest game? such as black ops, bad comapny 2 etc...

  • HEAVEN BENCHMARK!!!

  • @luissi1234 On the way, I promise! =)

  • @DWizard07 Your answer to whether its safe or not said "yes, if you use the same settings". What do u mean by that? And overclocking can be done for any duration without any damage? or limited time, as in an hour or two max?

  • @Elbarto23294 It means that if you use the same clock settings: 650/1430/900 it is safe. You can do it for any duration of time. I do a lot of gaming and I never had any issues. Hope this hepls!

  • @DWizard07 thanks a lot!

  • Hey, thanks man! Was waiting for this! But what if install the drivers and put on nVidea inspector when running windows? Does the nVidia inspector have to run the whole time? And does it save the settings when i do them in windows7? That means when i reboot my laptop in windows will it still be overclocked? Thanks!

  • @Fifa10Woeterman Hey, you open Inspector, set the clocks (you can also create a shortcut on your desktop with the clocks in Inspector) and then you can shut it down and it will keep the clock the whole time until you set them back to default (in Inspector) or you restart/turn off your computer

  • @DWizard07 So that means that i do have to start up Inspector every time i restart my laptop? Thanks!

P.S. Sorry i ask alot, i'm not so good in understanding these things haha.

  • @Fifa10Woeterman No problem! Yep you do, but as I said, you can create a shortcut on your desktop and you will be able to overclock just with a double-click

  • @Fifa10Woeterman Hey, thanks for replying! I'm probably getting windows 7 this week, so ill put on some games then haha. Do you think GTA IV will run smooth on medium settings when i overclock it? Thanks!
