I hated it too. I was so fed up that I skipped the senior dinner the night before. I wanted to skip the graduation ceremony, but my father wouldn't hear of it. We went, and guess what? My father ended up being pissed off because the valeditorian's speech was "self-righteous and self-serving." All the way home he vented "what's that 18 year old doing preaching about morality?!?"
