@chiragp86 I think you are making a mistake.....because when I was still in my country when I grab a local newspaper 2002 it was written that this movie has entered in the World Guiness Book of Record for being still played in the Indian theatres...so from 1995 to 2002....it make 7 years.....hope you can tell me for how many years sholey plays in the theatres...anyway you live in India you know better that me...goodluck in your reachearch...thanks

@Tropicalboy2020 dear, this movie is in Guinness records for being shown in a movie hall in Mumbai named maratha mandir for more than 800 weeks.. it broke the record of sholey that run to almost 6 years in that very same hall, whereas in case of ddlj, it is almost 15 years.. it is there a fact to be found in wikipedia.. so, you are not wrong... there is no record of sholay being shown in a particular hall so many years other than its maratha mandir stretch of 6 years...

Anyway thanks for telling me that this mention movie last for 15 years because I read in a local newspaper in my country in 2002 that this movie was still playing in Indian theares and at that time hold the world record for being played the longest time.
