Honestly when the snares stand still and play hard stuff, it's pretty clean. Those strap drums move all over the place. It's not possible to get it much cleaner without bolting the drums to your body on harnesses.

I like this and I marched DCI. DCI drumlines,'specially today, can often come across as overly technical, to "chattery", and doing nothing in relation to the music. Sometimes, I want to scream at those lines to take the sticks out of their asses and really play! Don't get me wrong, it can sometimes be very tasteful as well. If one looks at them for what they are(w/o a DCI ear/eye)these guys are fun, and shouldn't let ANY DCI snob tell them otherwise.

Cold Steel, along the entire band of NC A&T, was the overall better performing band than NSU. I'm an NSU alum and I'd like to see us get back to quality sound and better precision than this crap we've got now. There's no way we could battle a BCU, FAMU, or NC A&T right. Maybe we need a former Spartan that was under Walker or Fields to get us back on track.
