I fell in love with this instrument in 1945 when Spellbound came out. Now with so much on You tube, I am going to try to build one. The professional models are way to expensive. Anybody who trys to play this is commended. So, a few bad notes. Better than no notes at all. Bravo Mr. Mark Chang.
yeh, but in some videos on youtube show how the theremin can do really normal noises. Look up the "crazy theremin" and "theremin kill the radio star" <- that one is more funny than dark sounds lol, you just gotta check it out. Its sound is nothing like you'd hear from a 50's horror movie.
Awesome work on the battery powered theremin, and combo stand case! Sure wish you were going to Ethermusic. Thanks for sharing the info on the power supply.

No, it was actually a soprano vocalist who was specifically trying to imitate the sound of the theremin.

Sounds like a 1950's Sci-Fi movie.

theremins were actually used in early sci-fi films, so you're quite right ^^

Damn I am a ignorant. I know but still can't fully realize how great that was.

This sounds similar to the musical saw. I knew an act that played one. Lovely haunting sound.

The theremin makes it sound so sinister.
