I agree, Pedals are for the MOST PART really Tone Robbers...but sometimes you need a Good KOT, Tim, or Centaur to get that gain right where you want it...If you find a Pedal's Circuit that matches well with the Amps Circuit...then you have a keeper...
Yes the Victorilux is great sounding straight into the amp or with a few effects. I love it both ways. Sometimes you need a few trinkets to get you through a gig. I can cover a lot of ground with that amp!
Goodman. Keep It Up Then. I have the Victoria 50212 sounded great straight away. Put in some original 1950's Jensen's - sounds even greater. Your right man. If you like using effects that is your own prerogative, it doesn't mean that the amps sound is ruined.
If you use true-bypass pedals with low impedance cables (like Klotz) you can get an incredible tone. Very clean. Nice Mojo Vibe BTW. I'm fixin' to buy one.

Those Victorilux's are fantastic sounding amps - It is too bad you ruin it with all of those trinkets.

Whatever sounds good to you. I just bought a PRS McCarty Korina and it sounds great through the tweed twin.
