  • These laws/ragulations are insane! Yeah, I could understand why you wouldn't want an inoperable vehicle in the road, but on someones driveway? What's wrong with that? There's nothing wrong with having recreational vehicles on your own driveway! I have more freedom in the UK!

  • Opening up a boat storage yard is not being an entrepreneur. There's nothing overly innovative about that. That's just being a good businessman.

  • You know what, most of your videos are great man, but honestly, this video is just a stupid waste of time.

keep up the good work. peace.

  • @homemplantaVEVO Yhis video is also 4 yeas old!

  • really, there aready taxing the vehicles and boats, where are they suppose to put there boats that they have payed taxes and fees on?

  • city fail, never would i consider moving here, I'd rather live on the streets somewhere else. This complete anti freedom

  • ANTIOCH is the definition of a Police State, u can't have ur own personal property on ur private property!!!!!! WAT A FREKIN JOKE!!!!!!!!

  • Ok inoperable vehicles are one thing, but what the heck is wrong with a boat parked in your driveway??? Doesn't look bad at all. Whats next; can't park your CAR in your driveway??

  • People don't like it because it's a supposed eye sore. Well, if people don't like the color of your home should a law be passed to make sure it matches with approved color codes? What harm is there in having an RV in your own driveway other than appearance?

  • Just another money grab from a corrupt government.

  • If its on their property then I dont see the problem. Its not in anyones way, so it should be fine.

  • I will take the charger,

  • Unless the city gonna be payin for people to store their stuff in places, then they need to GTFO its all about makin money off these people and their property.

  • @iLiketoSayRawr Or they could just evict you if you fail to follow the rules. =)

  • Antioch will always be the armpit of the delta . Smelly , stinky , and no one wants to go there .

  • There are more important things that the city of Antioch can do, like focusing on crimes, and on sidewalk littering, instead of pursuing people on curb appeal. It's not the business of the city of Antioch to interfere with the lives of people in their own homes and neighborhood. These people can't fit the boat and trailer in their own garage so these things stay out. That is why they have an extra lot so they can park their boats.

  • yeah, anyone should be able to pile an unlimited number of crappy looking vehicles on their property and drive down their and their neighbors' property value. Who cares about others! If it's my land everyone else can just F-off! Why should I care about my community? What has it ever done for me? I don't even know my neighbors!

  • Forcing the issue on everybody with no warning, with the threat of big fines or impounds is simply not the way to solve the problem.

This "law" is all about money. Of all the <10 people who showed support for the law during the battle at city hall, most all had money to be made - either in charging you fees for storage (some which doubled when the law went into effect), by adjusting your yard to the tastes of realtors, looking to make a buck on the house near yours, or by heavy fines...

  • And yet again why the citys going to waste they spend time over things like this instead of the real problems.

  • gay

  • The stuff belongs to people. They have a right to have it on their private property. The city should leave it alone. Most RVs are not ugly eyesores that need to go away! Communists need to go away!

  • i totally agree!!

  • As long as it's not on the street I see no problem with people having whatever they want on their property. The city needs to fuck off.

  • retarded.

  • I live in Antioch and it is a city in the heart of the CA delta. Many people are here because of the boating now the city says we cant boats, I'm appalled. As for the garbage cans These 3 massive cans are required by the city garbage/recyclables/yard waste , I will not keep them in my living room.

    pybye

  • I don't see problems with boats and old cars on the driveway. It's their property and the city shouldn't control what does not belong it their driveways.
