I have an iPhone and I can easily say (due to the fact that over the years i have had a few smartphones and in stores i have seen some on display) that the iPhone is just the best I have seen. I even watched videos of Gphone protypes. I just think the iPhone is the best so far.

iPhones suck, nice to look at but a developer's nightmare. Now the gPhone rocks and Android, the development environment for the gPhone kicks ass. Most of my buddies have already downloaded the SDK (Software Developers Kit) and are coding as I write this.

My sis has a blackberry from her job and hates it. Way too hard to use. I got a Nokia N95 from my boss...she thought she was doing me a favor. Had it for a week and it broke, got a new one and now it's falling apart. Just a piece of junk. I ended up spending my own money for an iPhone. Worth every penny! So easy to use! Can't see why so many people diss it. Must be jealousy or something

Word? Yes, I can, I can also edit them with Glide Write 2.0. (to view, edit, format and share MS Word documents). It also has a real browser displaying real webpages. On most networks I can send email to SMS by addressing it to their phone number (at) (phone provider)(dot) (whatever). Works on cingular, nextel, sprint, boostmobil ad some others, but I don't use MMS that much. Currently it uses Edge technology which isn't too bad. Most places I end up have wifi and it connects automatically.

Yeah 3G would be nice (coming 2008) So would 3D graphics...Heh. But there's a whole bunch of stuff being developed for it. , for instance Today, Google announced the release of a new iPhone application that integrates its multiple services into a single interface, making it easy for iPhone users to find, use and switch between Google search, Gmail, Calendar, Reader, and more.

Anyway, yeah, some phones might end up cramming more "one-up" functions into their cell phones (kinda like the stupid Radio feature in the new Zune) But in the end, success depends on the interface and how it ties everything together. Oh, I can download my pics to my computer, also have a voice announce (such as "Mary is Calling) instead of a tone for each of my friends and associates (thanks itoner!).

But hey, it's not for everyone. So people should pick the phone that best suits their situation. It's a phone after all.

Yawn...yet another company leaching off of someone else's creativity and innovation. Yes, I have an iPhone and guess what? works as advertised! What a concept! Even if Google's entry has more features, Google is one of the last companies I would want to handle my phone conversations, the NSA is the last of course. heh.
